I don’t think the 24hr measurement is useless in respect to more accurate actual screen on time measurements. If you click and add each blue bar in the chart in between charge cycles, this gives you the screen on time of the device when not connected to charger.
Looking at the daily screen on times doesn’t put into the equation if the phone was topped off multiple times during a day. It leads to misleading screen on times.

No problem then, I’ll add the 24 hour screenshot to when I post tonight.

Was absolutely on the money about the 24hour screenshot, it’s weird because before I am pretty sure I have seen it overstating Screen On Time and so never gave it much merit since then. Thanks a lot of correcting me on that!

So here is my usage today, quite a busy day between work and getting my car sorted out and then making up time on work, I didn’t hammer the phone as much as I usually do.

It’s now midnight and I am in bed, once again I simply cannot kill the phone, over 5hours SOT, still have 38% battery lef

iPhone 11 Pro was a major step up in battery longevity for sure. Hoping the 12 pro keeps the trend alive.

I get 11 hours OST on average. There’s definitely an issue with your phone somewhere.

Is that 11h streaming music on 10% percent brightness?

Always on wifi?

Use any battery demanding apps?

Use safari a lot?

You push your phone pretty hard during them 11h?

11h sounds pretty awesome, if you're using your phone a lot.

I use 40% brightness, Auto Brightness off. I use my phone a lot Safari, Mail, Instagram etc. and the battery is phenomenal. I don't understand how some people are just getting 5 hours.

It’s also been topped off multiple times.

I plug my phone in when I can. I don't obsess over my battery. You need to enjoy your phone lol

Indeed I agree. But don’t go saying you’re getting XX hours of screen on time. Screen on time or SOT is measured off the charger . Cheers.

i have also iPhone pro max 64gb, i have been using it for last 3 months
i am easily getting 11-12 hrs SOT, i will post my battery usage screenshot also.
Mostly my usage is Whatsapp, youtube and Phone calls. I normally use Whatsapp/youtube on LTE mostly.
Even if i use my iPhone roughly with heavy usage on LTE and facetime video calls i still get 10 hours SOT :D :)

how the hell people are getting screen on times of 10, 12, 13 hours?? Mine barely made it past the day. charge once for sure. 4 hours of screen on time and it hits 20%. My iPhone 8 plus had 2 hours more screen on time than my brand new 11 pro max. I tried signing in out of iCloud, clearing the keychain database, disabling iCloud photo library, setting up as new phone, restoring. its not even a week old. wtf! how the hell do I get my moneys worth?? I ended up from 100 - 20 % with 4 hours of screen on time. what the actual ****

I need this 12 hour screen on time thing

I understand that you have found a (sort of) workaround to the issue by signing out from iCloud. Though I'm not an Apple engineer, I can support the claim that the battery drain could be caused by iCloud. From my understanding, iCloud is always syncing files between your iPhone and the cloud so that the files in both entities mirror one another. I would think there is some issues in this process and that is why your phone is losing all its juice. The files could be stuck to or from the cloud/device. It's hard to pinpoint where and what files exactly...

I once had a similar experience with my iPhone 7 few years back. From then on, I've stopped restoring my backups from iCloud. Well, you still need iCloud if you are going to use Apple Pay and sync important stuff like contacts, reminders, keychain and what not. What you can do is, sign in to your existing iCloud, and then click sign out but keep a copy of your calendars and contacts. You could create a new iCloud and then resync your app data into the new iCloud. Have you tried that?

Well it is suppose to have a 4400 battery I’m guessing for 5G and hopefully pro motion display so I’m guessing apple will want it to have the same amount of battery as the 11 pro max.

You said you have tried a few things when your new iPhone is not even a week old. Signing in and out of iCloud isn’t a good idea because there are background activities after restoring from an iCloud backup.

I think you need to give it some time (at least a week) for it to index everything such as health data, messages and photos.

My recommendation is reset the phone and restore from iCloud backup, leave It plugged in when you can. I don’t think there is an issue with your Apple ID.

Just got a brand new iPhone. Doesn't charge past 95%. Is that normal? Should I complete drain it and then recharge it to see if it charges to 100%? This is the first time in a very long time a iPhone that I purchase came with a uniform screen and no camera dust lol
