You guys are a bit late to the party, have had my 11” for 15 months, best iPad have had and have had them all up to this one. I probably wouldn't pay full price for one now as their is some bargains going.

No keyboard or pencil, just use the Apple folio.

I use my 11” iPad Pro for bedroom video watching and web surfing, so I definitely waiting for the mini LED display, increase screen resolution, still better audio improvements, A14 SoC and increase RAM 8GB found in the 2020 iPad 11” Pro.

I really don't feel that I am "late to the party" since I have been using the iPad Pro 10.5" for close to 3 years now, and prior to that the iPad Pro 9.7. Hell I have been using iPads since the very first one. I was originally going to wait until the new 2020 versions appeared before getting a new one but the rumors I have heard so far don't excite me enough to wait any longer to upgrade, so I ordered the 11" iPad Pro that is currently available. I love using the pencil and have already purchased an Apple Pencil 2, and now just trying to decide to go with the Apple Folio Case or the STM Dux Studio Case. My current iPad Pro 10.5" has an STM Dux Plus which has held up great over the past 2 years so I may go with the one for the 11" iPad Pro.

I typically don’t buy Apple products that are older than six months unless they are significantly discounted. The best value is typically when they first come out if you hold it for a while (2+ years). Unless it’s a first gen product....

Yea I’m done with laptops I’m going to pick up a new 11 pro and a pen so I can use it at work and home
As i am more and more into photography i am thinking to replace my 2016 Macbook Pro with a (rumoured) 2020 iPad Pro 11" 256gb for Lightroom & Photoshop editing. I have a Mac Mini 2018 at home and i don't use my MBP actually since the iPad 2017 i have now is more than enough

We're going in the same direction for different reasons and TBH I think most us us will find ourselves in the same position in the next couple of years.

I’m a bit miffed at these new rumors that the 12.9 will receive upgraded screen tech. I was looking forward to upgrade my 10.5 iPad Pro, but it looks like I may have to wait another 1.5 year cycle. -___-

I'm a bit perplexed as to how this timeline will play out.

Presumably the new (2020) iPad Pros will launch with these rumored Smart Keyboard Folios with integrated trackpads. But the code for full-fledged trackpad support won't be released until September with iOS 14, so what happens now?

Do the new Pros not launch until the Fall?
Do the new Pros launch this month with regular Smart Keyboard Folios, then versions with integrated trackpads are released in the Fall?
Do the new Pros launch this month with Smart Keyboard Folios with trackpad while the software can only support half-baked trackpad functionality?
Do two versions of the iPad Pros launch this year, one this month with new cameras and regular Smart Keyboard Folios, then another fall update with mini LED and Smart Keyboard Folios with trackpads?

I don't exactly have a dog in this fight because I'm just hoping the Smart Keyboard Folios with trackpads are backwards compatible with the 2018 Pros, but I sure am curious.

Same here. I'm hoping they are backwards compatible. But knowing how iPad OS has dealt with the mouse thus far, my hopes are not all that high. I know this, if it had TRUE mouse support, I'd end up using my iPad a lot more. I've got bluetooth mice all over but can't stand that persistent touch assistance button... There are too many questions.

Corona has significantly slowed down production of all goods, especially those manufactured in China like Apple's products. So it's reasonable to assume that all new Apple devices will be launched at the later side of their typical release windows, and maybe even later than that.

I have no idea if a new iPad Pro will come out in March but I know in some major outlets, iPad Pros are in very short supply. (Walmart and Amazon to name a couple).

For me, a wait would be worth it if there was indeed more RAM but more importantly and will never happen, is that it would be great if Apple worried about function over form and gave at least one more USB port. The latter for many would be very handy.

The “rumors” have stated that we are getting a refresh this month and then they will release the keyboard in the fall with a 12” m-led or whatever it’s called

I held off because they might come with more storage, and because I’m still trying to sell my iMac- but if the refresh doesn’t happen at the end of the month- I might as well just buy a discounted apple refurbished one.

At this point, if there is no 5G or mini-LED or storage increase with the spring 2020 release, I’d almost be tempted to wait even longer for the next release, but at this rate that next version might not come out until 2021.

at this point I would wait, Apple could announce new iPad Pro’s via a press release.

Yeah, I'm beginning to think that they'll just have a large press release.

Or they could have a week long staggered release, iPads are announced Monday, new iMac and Mac mini on Tuesday, and so on through till Friday. Thats what they did last year. It worked well.

In any case, we now are 100% sure they are coming relatively soon, given the leak directly from Apple, although in this environment of a global pandemic, delays are possible.

Hahaha. I was pretty convinced a new iPad Pro wasn't going to happen but quite a few posters here that I follow that are easily 4x smarter than I am said there was going to be.

My wife and I just bought an iPad Pro 11 less than a month ago. After seeing this new iPad - not at all regretting our purchase. My wife used her iPad Pro 10.5 for many years happily and the 11 Pro was a nice boost for us. We'll use this for several more years at least before even thinking of upgrading.

That keyboard pricing is ... INSANE. Absolutely insane.

My wife was pretty sad at the lack of colors for cases for the iPad Pro 11. :p
