iPhone 14 Pro (not Max), I've noticed something will have caused it to reboot overnight after being plugged in to charge.

Hello all! first post here. I've been dealing with reboots from about the 29th. I got my 14 pro on the 27th. Everybody talks about it needing to be plugged in but mine will reboot while im scrolling through pictures, playing a game, scrolling through instagram with out it being plugged in. It will reboot more in the higher percents like some say and also when i start the sync with iCloud it will almost reboot immediately reboot after. I have been keeping track of it on the interwebs but searching that makes it seem like an old problem till i found this thread and others. i've held off getting a replacement phone and waiting for a possible software fix as i have 30 days for replacement at Costco where i bought mine. I was on 16.0.2 and downloaded 16.0.3 and waiting for the phone to be more then 50 percent charged so i can update without being plugged in. It just rebooted now as im typing this. I REALLY hope this works. I am going to install now. i pray it doesn't restart during install. I'll let you all know.

i'll admit too I am using an Anker charge block i just bought for the USB-C cable and prior i was using a crappy "charge station". I found where some person was trying to say it was the non-apple cables or non-certified stuff causing the reboots. Its been about 40 mins charging without a reboot. so far that is WAY better then before

Why be scared if there is the possibility that either 16.0.3 fixes it, or you get it replaced within 30 days?
Use it as is, put it through the ringer. Otherwise how else would you know? (And how much worse could it get?)
Most in this thread have said that 16.1 (beta) fixes it as well.

this has not been fixed. I'm on 16.0.3. phone is on the Belkin 2 in 1 magsafe stand. woke up to it asking for passcode. battery chart showed it rebooted at 3 am which was shortly after I put it on the charger.

Not 100% certain its fixed in 16.0.3. Might be some 1 offs. I was having it several times a day before I put 16.1 beta on my phone oct 4th and have not had one since then is something is clearly fixed.

I’ve been on 16.0.3 for the past 5 days and no reboots. Mine was rebooting 1-5 times every time I was charging it prior to installing 16.0.3.

I've had one overnight crash since 16.0.3. Definitely massively better than before, but maybe not 100% fixed.

Been on 16.0.3 since release & phone crashed & rebooted during the night again last night. Boot chime woke me up. FML
Problem is fixed in 16.1 which should be out soon. If you are so inclined, you could install the 16.1 beta which is at RC1 now. Installing beta versions is not for everyone, though.

Thanks for this. Yep. I’m just gonna wait until early next week. I really hope this is fixed w/ 16.1. Also hope Apple includes it in their release notes but prob wishful thinking LoL
