Not sure if I will regret it or not, but I am going to try our the Silver 14 Pro.. I have had the larger variation since the iPhone 6 I think, but I am open to trying out the smaller device. Maybe it will urge me to use my iPad Pro more.

Went for the the 14 Pro Max.

I currently have a 12 Pro and came from a 11 Pro. The minor size change was welcomed and for a while I used to consider the 6.1" Pro the perfect size. But in fact I started feeling a little tight and would love an intermediate size, like 6.4" or something like that.
Since Apple didn't change the sizes this year, I felt like going bigger would be nice but honestly I'm still not sure it was the best decision, regarding size and weight. I guess I'll find out by the end of the month...

I use my 12 Pro one-handed for simple stuff like menu navigation or to click an interface button somewhere inside an app, sometimes it's done naturally with my hand reaching the right spot, and sometimes I have to adapt the hand position and stretch slightly to hit the spot. I believe it will not be very different with the Max, and typing will for sure feel more comfortable.
Also, I had a 6s Plus a few years ago and didn't have any problem holding the phone...

I ordered the 14 Pro in black.

In the past, i always thought the iphone 6 had the perfect size, just extend the damn display i always thought.

Then i had to get the Xr from the iphone 8,cause i wanted to experience a full screen iphone. Why the Xr? Cause i had eyestrain on the X and Xs, i felt nauseous.

Then i went ahead and tried the Iphone 12, strangely it effected my eyes less. So i got the 12 Pro and while it was harder on my eyes, i could live with it.

What i mean is, since the 12 was smaller in size(slimmer)then the XR AND the 11 i had(almost forgot i had the 11 also lol), i got used to it and the Mini didnt make sense for me as my eyes gets older and im like for hours on a day on my phone as im early retired, and have basically no life beside my kids lol.

I WILL however go bigger, possibly Pro Max,someday when its lighter, the 13/14 pros are already heavy imo. So at the moment, while my eyes are getting ready to the next blinding fase, i cant buy a Pro Max,its too heavy for me.
It sounds like they made the iPhone 14 plus just for you. It weighs 203 grams vs the almost 241 grams for the 14 Pro Max. That’s of course if you don’t need dynamic island 🏝

I went from 6S+ to 12Pro and now going to go back and try out the big phone again with my 14ProMax order. I will see how that goes as I found the 12Pro screen too small sometimes.

Currently have a 13 Pro Max which feels too heavy for me at times and other times it doesn’t bother me at all. I ordered a 14 Pro in an attempt to downsize. I use a 12 for work and the size seems fine. But, I still haven’t decided yet if I’ll keep the 14 Pro or not open it, return it, and then try to find a 14 Pro Max in store on Friday/this weekend.

I was really leaning Pro, but just left the AT&T store and put my iPhone 11 (with minimal case) next to the 13 pro max and it was basically the same size…so will probably go MAX. Pretty unexpected really.

I'm upgrading from the 12 Pro Max. I got the Max a couple of years ago, because I wanted the larger screen for viewing videos and photos. But I've always found it a bit awkward and over-sized in terms of handling. I kept it, because I thought I'd get used to the larger size, but I didn't. I went with the 14 Pro this time, looking forward to the more manageable physical size. I have a couple of cases purchased for it, and it feels much better in the hand for me than the larger one.

I can't wait until I am 60s!
You are so right! We are barely 60, and retirement is right around the corner for us! 🙂

I prefer the Pro Max, and will pick mine up Friday. I agonized over the first one I got, and now I prefer the size. Hubby is a Mini kinda guy (loves to carry his in pocket) and is bummed that there isn’t a mini this year. He is holding out hope it will return next year.
