I don't agree. I have two phones and both are different. My 512GB natural titanium phone does not have the same issue.

Blue titanium is only going crazy when I am on calls. I cannot hold it!
My Blue Pro 512GB is also very warm on calls, and the battery is draining significantly. This appears to be my only heat problem so far-- the phone is cool/normal temp for everything else!

Whenever there is a problem, we get a host of "but mine is OK" posts. No, they are all affected. People will have varying degrees of noticing, depending on how they use their phones. But the underlying, core issue exists on all of them. There is no "better" batch. Could be hardware. Could be software. Could be both. We don't know for sure yet.
Totally disagree. My 14 pro was definitely warmer while doing the same things

See reports that if you use their included USB C cable it manages the heat better. I dont see how that is possible but for some reason wouldnt be surprised.

disclosure: reports is ppl on twitter :)

all you people are doing is making annoying YouTubers fill the iPhone video space with them talking about heating phones.

You have zero basis for that comment and realistically have no idea if they are all impacted or not as the core issue has not been determined/disclosed.

Could be hardware, could be software. Either way, that does not mean ALL units are impacted. Could be certain batches of hardware causing the issue or a software bug that is only triggered under certain uses cases.

These people never learn.

Every year every September these same posts.

It is too big, is it too small, is it a brick, is it weak, is it too hot, is it too loud.

Sometimes I think they are either just gagging for attention, or are spoilt brats with real first world problems, are suckers for click bait, or they are working for Samsung/Huawei.

I can sum up my iPhone pro max easily. It's lighter which was an issue for me. The 14 pro max was a brick in my pocket and hurt my hand at times. The battery is the same and thats great as it was a strong point and industry leader. It's thinner and shorter with the same size screen which is nice. It's the first time ive upgraded and noticed the speed increase, and the camera bump is a huge upgrade.

Mine gets relatively warm whilst on charge. Even it a case I can feel how toasty it's getting.

Anker Wireless, PowerWave 2-in-1... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B094FQSGMM?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share

This is what I bought for my 15PM to use in standby mode. Highly recommend. Don’t forget usb c block if you don’t have one. I put my phone down around 9:30 pm. Stays charging overnight. Phone stays nice and out on the mag. Doesn’t fall or easily moved. Just enough wiggle.
I’m just about to return this and haven’t even opened it. Reviews said the phone and AirPods get stupidly hot. Also the unit buzzes and you can’t charge both at the same time. What’s your opinion on this?

The included cable speed is usb 2.0 2 decades ago speed

This is pure speculation at this point. This would only be true if it were shown that this was a design issue with the A17 that could not be fixed any other way. Given that A16 iPhone 15 models are also affected, and the overheating seems to be somewhat random (though charging does appear to be at least related), it may also be a hung process that could be fixed in software.
If A16 models are being affected, then how come we’re not seeing reports of 14 Pro / Pro Maxes overheating? I’m on iOS 17 and I’ve had absolutely no issues with my 14 PM, the battery life has actually improved.

I've been using an Amazon cord, with no problems in the car 🤷🏼‍♂️.

The story has now hit the Wall Street Journal:

iPhone 15 Pro Owners Complain About Overheating Problems

The issue could threaten Apple’s premium phones, a cash cow essential to its growth and profits

It's a good summary of this entire thread absent the FanBoy "just love your phone because Apple can do no wrong" comments. The most significant part of the article: "Apple refused to comment."

That's it!
I had a standing pre-order with fulfilment date of end-October.

Have cancelled the order until Apple can figure out what the heck is going on.
