16" MacBook Pro stuttering issue

It's been happening for me with an i7, so it's not limited to i9. Sadly I just gave up on it ever being fixed.

Monterey Beta 4 and Macbook pro 16… It have the Same problems. I will return it.

Same problems here (MBP 2019 16'', Big Sur), especially lagging when typing in Chrome or electron Apps like Typora and Notion. VSCode works fine though.

The lagging in chrome is unbearable, I have to open Spotlight search bar to type smoothly and then paste the text into the browser, otherwise it will take me forever to type a post reply in Chrome.

OK I seem to find a solution. Try turn off Touch Bar typing suggestions at Settings -> Keyboard -> Text. This solved my problem.

2019 MBP 16" i9 Monterey 12.3.1, experiencing stuttering. I ended up disabling graphics switching and it seems to help while using Chrome. I hope a better solution can come from Apple.

Running 12.4 beta and it seems fixed. No issues since though it’s only been less than a week so not certain.

Changing refresh rate to 47hz solved the problem for me
