Only thing is, mine is back to the immediate 1600 error. No progress bar.

Not really. The only thing different is that every so often (like maybe about every 7 or 8 times) it will give me the longer progress bar and then return the 1602 instead of the immediate 1600.
Yes to all of the above, except the gs.google.com. Browser points to 127.0.0.1 when I put in gs.apple.com. I'll show a screenshot if you want.
Lol sorry I meant gs.apple.com I was updating my calendar on my phone with google and mistyped. The only other thing I did was multiple attempts with redsn0w, blackra1n., and used ireb and irecovery...
Not sure if any of that mattered though. But it worked on my boot looped 3.1.2 now I'm on 3.1.3 and cydia was included in the custom firmware I used

You updated to 3.1.3 with iTunes tho, right? I am currently trying to update to the modded 3.1.3 with iTunes and with TinyTSS running, host file updated to 127.0.0.1 gs.apple.com. This is all correct, right? Should I be trying to update with redsn0w or blackra1n instead of iTunes?

Remember to buy a FACTORY unlocked iPhone, so you wont run into this problem again. if you dont buy a factory unlocked iphone, and something screws up your phone and you need to restore, you've pretty much dug yourself another hole the same size.

Dude, not to be callous or anything, but didn't we all tell you that was your only option days ago? If you've been wasting all your time on it since then, you've no one to be annoyed with but yourself.
But uploading the link is distributing it. With the link, any one can download it for "persona use"
All I'm saying is that if it's on the web, it's being distributed. He could then re-upload it, or share the link. You also MODIFIED APPLE'S OS. Thats againts the EULA

Are you really going to play dumb like that? The fact that the mods delete your post for violating the site's TOS doesn't mean it was never posted. The link was there; I personally reported it.
No worries. I don't think you're being callous. You offered your recommendation and I chose the route of persistence instead of concede. I don't feel so much like I wasted my time. I feel like I tried till I was satisfied for myself. And it's not that I ignored or didn't appreciate your advice. I did. Totally did and even agreed with you, yet still I wanted to try till I was content. And to be honest, I'm still not totally content. I may continue to try things until the phone is actually sold. That being said, if you think of anything or hear of anything new that may help me, please bring it my way till I tell you it's sold.

whats apple going to do if i violate the eula? huh? ive already talked to an apple sales rep about jailbreaking. she said all that happens is you void your warranty. i already knew that but i was checking to make sure you didnt go to jail. apple's eula isnt the same thing as the law. and no i dont lie, i give members the right information, based on my experience.

Your advice is almost never correct. How many times have I had to correct you, frequently for posting the same wrong information repeatedly? And if you don't knowingly lie, you at least post outlandish tall tales which you persist in defending even when you are confronted with their implausibility or manifest untruth.
