3D print a handle for an iMac. 24 is close enough isn't it.
Adding the battery ended up making it a bit chonky? (actually no matter how you ask CGPT to generate a current iMac with a handle it wants to make it thicc... guess it has that preference)...

I’m not wrong. Apple makes more money on iOS based hardware. The locked down ecosystem is their ideal. MacOS hasn’t been a top priority for Apple for years. Apple isn’t really a computer company any more so much as it is a consumer electronics company. They still make a range of Macs but that isn’t their core business. As I said, I’m sure Tim Cook and the rest of Apple leadership would love to supplant MacOS on laptops by replacing them with the rumored foldable device. Even the iMac seems likely to get a touch interface based on iOS eventually. I’m sure Apple would be happy to only be selling Mac Mini, Mac Studio and Mac Pro with MacOS. I’d suggest that you’re working conceptually with a version of Apple that ceased to exist about a decade ago.
You’re extremely confused, and completely wrong. Somehow you are tragically unaware of the fact that none of the things you think Apple has prioritized could even exist without the Mac continuing to exist.

What's the stand you've got it sitting on? Is that an Apple product, or 3rd party? Brand, model? Is it good?

LMAO. The Mac creates every other product, and everything that runs on every other product. Fact. Not up for debate. Not subject your conversation-manipulation or flame baiting.

My point stands. The Mac is not Apple’s core business. They make more money on iOS variants. There’s a reason iPads don’t run a MacOS variant. The reason is money.

That's the 4th or 5th modified version of your point up until now, but it's getting closer to something true. Yes, they make the majority of their money on devices that run human-accessible operating systems ...iPhone. iPhone stands alone as a larger business than the rest of the entire company. Mac by the way makes slightly more money than iPad, and has since inception.

I haven’t changed my point at all. Apple isn’t focused on MacOS. I’m sure they’d be happy to eliminate it on all but the Mac Pro, the Studio and the Mini.

While not a revolutionary thought... It wasn't long after iPad first landed that I began to imagine a potential where Apple could be headed toward an all-screen MacBook. It was iPad's keyboard that started me down that line of thinking. While I HATE typing on iPad keyboards, I imagined some type of key-specific haptics might make it more tolerable. Those thoughts mostly lay dormant until TouchBar landed. At the time, I saw TB as Apple's toe-dip into what seemed an inevitable all-screen MacBook. But a vocal niche, in a handful of tech forums, felt otherwise. And Apple, in as uncharacteristic a move as I can recall from them, retreated. Pre-Tim Apple would never have succumbed to the opinions of anyone outside of Apple (for better or worse). Instead, they would double down on executing their vision (also for better or worse). That unconventional, intuitive, soulful approach fostered a more exciting, innovative Apple (IMO). I'm reminded of that unsubstantiated Henry Ford quote...

"If I asked the customer what they wanted, they'd say faster horse."

Regardless of whether or not he said those words, I always felt that sentiment represented Apple at its best: showing us what we didn't know we needed. I haven't felt that way since maybe Apple Watch? But this is all the inexorable nature of corporate growth. While a smaller company - with less to lose - has to take more risks to compete, larger companies - with more to lose - are, by default, more calculating in their decisions. More conservative. The tricky part is sometimes, you can't calculate your way to innovation. Innovation is part science, part art, part black magic, part right place at the right time-ism. Sadly, Apple has grown too adult for black magic. They have shareholders to appease instead.

All that said... An all-screen MacBook still makes sense. And if it does see the light of day, tech forums will explode. It'll be interesting to see how Apple reacts this time around.

which one of you has been asking Tim “you know I wish my MacBook Pro screen would bend more!”

What benefit besides a bit bigger screen is this offering?

Make a foldable iPad instead - a 20’inch that can fold into a mini!

Yea, I presumed someone was going to ask this question 😂

Those Intehill 4K travel monitors are shockingly good and light. Each one can be powered via the USB-C w/ DP-alt mode connection. The 4k resolution is awesome because you can do Retina at 2x integer scaling which is perfect for that screen size. The only caveat is that when all three monitors are hooked up, I need to dim their brightness down to ~80% because each one draws near the maximum power output of MacBook TB/USB-C ports and the MacBook doesn't seem able to output the maximum output to every port simultaneously. Dipping the brightness to 80% keeps the power draw low enough that it isn't a problem.

The Edge Pro magnetic holders are very strong. You don't have to worry about your tablet/screen falling off if the magnets are aligned correctly.

All in all it's a great setup for the hardcore digital nomad if you don't mind looking like an absolute nerd!
Much appreciated, thank you!

I even have the same chipset config/generation as you and as such I don’t have to do any further research on resolution support, power delivery, etc so that was all very helpful info you provided 😁
