2011 iMac speculation

Online store in Italy showing 3-5 day shipping on baseline 27" iMac :)
As well as the Irish store, it's showing 2 days shipping on all iMacs
The UK store also doing the same thing as Ireland store - 2 days shipping

Sorry to disappoint you guys, but I guess it is indeed due to the long weekend, all products on the UK site slipped to a 2 day dispatch. The same thing happened on last weeks Easter holiday...

Guys I just noticed if you choose a base model then it says 2 days shipping but if you choose bto model it still says 3 days ... If this was due to bank holiday ... Bto delivery time would have gone up to 4-5 days as well don't ya think

Come on new iMacs ... Btw anyone see the royal wedding
 
When the refresh hits do we think apple will bring the prices back to there old levels before the VAT increase in the uk?

Out of curiosity, what were the old prices of the imacs? I have read a couple of things that suggest the prices may change, to reflect an older price range. Would this be more or less expensive? ( hopefully less...).

Yea .. you have a problem with that? cause to me the chin is iMac unique signature. The chin was ugly, yes .. it was huge, and not good to look at. But now the chin has come to the size where it´s just right and fit

What would :apple: do if they eliminate the chin, they´ll just become cinema display. Do you want :apple: to write ¨iMac¨ under the screen, just like Macbooks? :rolleyes: .. yeah that´ll differ them from cinema display of course

I agree. No chin no buy. Unless it's a complete redesign, but that doesn't seem to be the case for this update.

Even though I want the chin cut off, I feel like it isn't practically possible just yet.

But at the very least, I would like Apple to minimize it even more.
 
I don't want them to cut anything. I don't want the size to decrease so that Apple will want to compromise hardware specifications to deal with heat issues. Instead, a larger design which allows better performance hardware is much more desired than smaller and thinner designs.

Too bad they already have, sir .. cause iMac is essentially a MacPro Air

If :apple: make iMac even thinner, i don´t know what they should call it .. iMac air, or MacPro Air - Air :D
