Doesn't that just reassure you that they all have it, though?

A little of both honestly. The 2nd one had it a little less but I can still notice it in a dark themed text editor at night. Not at max brightness either.

None of my past machines had this issue at all. And some folks here don't have it either. So still a little torn.

I'm still not convinced that anyone here doesn't have it. Those who have said they don't haven't confirmed that they were checking for it properly when asked.

Yesterday I cleaned my MacBook Pro and I noticed that dust keeps being stuck in the gap where the light shines through. This may become an issue after a while, doesnt it? Not only that it looks terrible.

Why don't you exchange? The 'potential' dust seems to bother you.

I'm not sure that any don't have it either on the sides or the top though.

Even if dust gets in how likely is it to obscure the screen, how are the screen layers attached, glued together? It's possible it couldn't migrate to the front anyway.

Okay update. Caved and switched out it out for the last time. Good news and bad news. Third one still has it. But it's much more faint. Going to keep this one and call it a day.

Nice work. Post a pic if you can - wouldn't mind seeing how it compares to mine.

and the next thing is to see dust particles on the screen after few months?

For the kind of prices Apple is charging, and their crowing about the user experience, there should not be any light leaks, which, from recent posts, appears to be one of several potential issues people are finding.

Here you go, camera was struggling in low light. That purple/pink hue doesn't exist. Also just noticed this panels backlight is a little less even than my last one. So if you do swap it out just be warned other things might pop up

Oh, I'm definitely not swapping out. Just interested to see, and yep, yours looks less prolific than mine.

I noticed that my laptop also has this phenomenon.

For now, not going to exchange. Will wait and see if further issues arise.

Just curious, how many of you guys have gone ahead and exchanged for this issue?

I know this is a couple years old thread but this is happening to me too. 2018 15" no more AC+ but had the display replaced a month ago before the warranty ended. Should I take it in or just leave it? I notice it in the dark.

Same.Happening with my M1 MBP.Even after 2 replacements.Apple doesn't really consider it as a defect so I am keeping it.
