After seeing all those issues, I will stick to my 2014 MBP as long as I possibly can. Lets hope they do a new revision with a better keyboard and w/o touchbar.

Or all 2016+ MacBooks have the same problem ?
Not according to owners. But as I said above, all may have it to some degree, but not enough to bother most people. It may be similar to screen uniformity. All screens of the type on the MBP have some degree of uneven brightness and color, but usually it's not noticeable to most people.

"screen uniformity?" Just like staingate?
This is a keyboard-! Have you ever seen like this macbook before?
Heat Issue + Noise from Plastic Part (under the keyboard) = what do you think?

Just checked the service status on my Mac, the first time I had it serviced I sent it in Wednesday and got it back on Friday, so, sending a week from that Friday, I expected it back today. Upon looking to see what the status of my repair was, I found that it was still under the "service" tab and below that it says "on hold - need information"

Just got a notification from FedEx that my new MBP is scheduled to be delivered Tuesday. I'll immediately run tests and report back with my findings!

Good news/bad news... I got my MBP replacement a day early. Bad news, it has at least two keys with this annoying click! I just left a voicemail with the senior adviser I was working with and let him know. Awaiting a call back.

Apple, what gives!?!

Wonder what that means.
Me too, I tried looking into it online, but everything on the topic is circa 2006...

I imagine it has to do with the type of repair, my advisor said it was a "reshaping of the keys" I called him again to make sure everything was going smoothly only to find that he's not in again until Thursday. If the message remains the same tomorrow afternoon when I check, I will certainly be calling Apple support again for another senior advisor...This whole situation is becoming so irritating

Further testing reveals that at least 10 keys are popping now!

So I received my first macbook 2016 15" today, and I have the noise on w, r, t, u and i....
But only when the laptop is warm, when its cold i everything is alrighy

I dont know if I should keep it or return it as I still have my mid 2015 mbp high specs

And from what I understood its pretty useless to send it for repair because Ill probably get other keys with the noise?

Ps: i can return my laptop till the 1st may so its more than 14days

EDIT: i played around with the keyboard and i have no more noise on w, only at the bottom on r and u, and everywhere on on the keycap with t and i.. its a bit better

EDIT2: I looked at the video that emde posted and I decided to give it a try! I have some thick tape (kind of foam made) and I cut it to put it at the top of the circle behind the key... and IT WORKED I HAVE NO MORE F*CKING NOISE!! Im so proud haha and thanks again emde for the video

So after my early 2011 **** the bed two weeks ago, I ordered the new 15 inch with touch bar, 2.9, 1tb, 460.

Arrived today, and began to notice this sticking/popping sound on my M and N keys. Here we are... What's the course of action? Genius bar? I'm not too pleased to be frank.

Bummer. Call and see if they can repair it in house. If not, and you want it repaired, it may be out for a while. There are home remedies back a few posts, but they carry some risk of breaking a key.

if you just received it, you're better off returning and ordering a new one than letting your brand new machine get taken apart and put back.

PS: Ask the Apple Store folks if they have the shims, which are what Apple is using for repairs for this. If so, they can repair quickly.

My God, another two weeks to wait until the replacement? I have no other computer at the moment.

What shims?

Ok, would I do this over the phone? Or do I have to go in in person for it.
You can do it over the phone, but they may ask you to get some confirmation of the problem at the Genius Bar. So you could start over the phone, and you can prove it with some videos.

Thank you! I'll give them a call tomorrow and see how it goes.

Shouldn't be a problem, you're welcome!
If you can't arrange the advance replacement, ask if they can do a repair on site. The shims are tiny bits of material they put under the keys to keep them from making unwanted clicking noise, or so it's been reported.

Great news! They're sending a replacement. Thanks for the help, I would recommend going straight to Apple Customer Relations after dealing with their technical support, they will get you sorted.

I'd like to hear more about these shims if anyone has info!
