Not all of them have, I personally have an ipad but not a laptop. It is everything I need when I am away from home, I don't want to buy a laptop, I dislike using them, so I have a desktop and an ipad. I use it for browsing, e-mail, schoolwork etc. And when I need to type stuff I take my bluetooth keyboard with me, for only 500 euro's that is good. Of course I also use it for games...

Not looking good. It is already Oct 11 today and no product announcements are scheduled.
No rumors either, so far as I've seen. There's always been some sort of rumor before every Mini update.
I think this has all been pushed out a week until the day after Microsoft release their new iMac like computers.
You'd probably expect Apple invites to be going out next week. Interesting how Microsoft have scheduled their release though. A proper head to head.
Invites have been as recent as 6 days prior to the event so there is a 7-10 day window.
Not always. There was at least one major update (in '05 or '06 as I recall) that went unannounced, and the 2014 has had an update to the options that was not announced.

The 2016 Mini will be front and center for this event. Big things will happen.
The only thing that's changed since I started this thread is that the Mini redesign was part of the reason for the week delay ;-)
It was all about the MacBook Pro. No mention of the Mini. Apparently they will continue selling the MacBook Air but are not updating it. Maybe at least we will see a price drop on the 2014 Mini?
I bet you can even predict the lotto numbers with the same accuracy.
In the UK they INCREASED the base model's price with 20% !!! (from £399 to £479)
To be fair, UK price includes VAT (which is rated at 20%) the price increase is almost completely down to the exchange rate which is not Apple's fault.
Ah, I understand, thanks. In my state, I would pay 7% sales tax, so it would be $534. But if I order from out of state, like B&H Photo there would be no tax and I would just pay $499.
You guys all got it easy, here in BC, Canada the base mini from Apple is $599 + 7%PST($41.93) + 5%GST($21.95) for a total of $670.88 Can.

I'd say you're the one who has it easy.
The Canadian dollar is only worth 75 cents at today's exchange rate. So $670.88 CDN is $500.82 USD. I paid $533.93 USD (including tax) last month for a Mini. So if somebody lives near the border, they could drive into Canada, get a Mini, have a nice lunch, and come back home with a few bucks left over. And without taxes, your $599 CDN Mini costs $447.17 USD…. which is more than $50 cheaper than the list price in the US.

Wise move not to put a year.
Better change "2016" in the tile to "2017", and it will be good to go again, though could well be earlier than October.
