2017 iPad Pro, Order/Shipping Thread

Collected mine from John Lewis today. 12.9" of loveliness. After being away from iPad for a couple of years (just a plus sized iPhone and my company laptop) I am pleasantly surprised at how small and light the 12.9 feels. It's not gargantuan by any means - though the regular iPad does look kinda small. :D

UPS MyChoice gives you the option to change your delivery to any UPS store for free and they will keep it there for about 5 business days.

There is no such thing as too much space. No one said "uh, I have too much space left over, I don't know what I'll do." But there is definitely problems with having too little space.
 
Ordered mine on the 7th, first delivery date was 16, later got updated to 13th. Tracking number showed up yesterday morning. And much to my surprise the UPS lorry found its way through the Bavarian woods in time and dropped my silver 10.5/512GB iPad Pro with pencil and white smart cover half an hour ago...

iPad Pro 12.9 512GB WIFI/Cell, arrived 10 minutes ago !! Anytime I can go to the DHL ServicePoint to pick it up...
Well, this is a record, at least for Italy... ( ordered friday afternoon )
 
Out for Delivery from UPS as we speak! Going to be the longest day of work since... well, since I had to wait all day for my iPhone 7. :p UPS typically doesn't deliver to my area until around dinner time anyways though so I suppose I'd be waiting anyway!

Same here, UPS normally delivers late in the afternoon. I just checked, iPad Pros are available at my local Apple store for pickup today, oh well. :)

Are you kidding? I may just go pick one up at the store. I can return the one that comes late if unopened right?

A year from now, you won't even remember that one day delay.
 
Well my iPad must have departed Ontario not long after I posted my last message, because an hour later is popped up here in Phoenix. Even though it got here at 3AM local time, still no movement onto a truck: it still shows ‘Destination Scan’. Usually UPS delivers here just before people start arriving home from work, so if you miss it you have to drive back to downtown. Jokes on them, I got the day off. :p

I won't even remember it next week, but I'm sure we all know the disappointing feeling when we're anticipating something all week and even staying home on the last day of waiting to sign for it only to get a delay.

I was also thinking of changing bezel colors. I always get white, which is what I got this time, but I've been thinking about the black bezel too...

I don't think they will show up early anymore. It specifically says "You are signed in to the devices below".
 
Mine finally was picked up in Rialto and put on a flight out of Ontario just after midnight this morning. The flight landed in Oakland just before 4am, then made it to San Francisco, and it's now on a truck for delivery. Not sure why they cut things so short – running the risk of traffic or flight delays – but I shouldn't judge how they do their job. UPS for me is usually spot on with these launch day deliveries.

Good point, I might opt for the 512GB to be on the safe side.

UPS here (also Germany) always delivers in the evenings. The same guy delivers also to my workplace, and there he always appears around noon. It seems he is smart enough to do the business delivers during the day and the private deliveries in the evenings when people are actually at home.
