The gold is the gold of the 2018 iPad 9.7 isn't it?

I'm also a tad annoyed with the storage options, as I only need 32. I'm typing this on a 16!

I have a £500 limit on my credit card (cashback card and I've always paid in full and on time so no incentive for them to up it.) The cellular version pushes the cost above £500 which means I can't order online (as to do so I'd be ordering on a debit card minus S75 protection.) Presumably if 32 had been offered it would have come in below £500. I'm more annoyed about that than having to pay for storage I don't need in itself, as I plan to keep the iPad for a number of years.

Is there any way to reserve stock at an Apple Store as I don't want to make the trip due to the above and come away empty handed? I'm in the UK in case it's different here than in the US.

While the amount of RAM is unknown, I will buy the Mini 5 as soon as possible in store. Trading in my 2018 iPad for credit.

I do not think it’s overpriced and will be thrilled to have another Mini like the 4 (and one I can draw on too).

I think it’s safe to say the RAM will be 3gb to 4gb. There isn’t an A12 device at the moment with 2gb and it’s very unlikely they’d go to 6gb.

I hope they are the same between the two new iPads, but I’m sure Apple will give the mini 3gb and the air 4gb...

Very happy with the Specs. Processor is top notch and I'm extremely happy it's got 3GB RAM, a future-proof device for sure.

What I'm unhappy about is the price. The 256GB cellular model is now £670, whereas the 128GB cellular mini 4 was £530 all-in. Yes, we do get double the storage, but for an extra £140? I could live with 128GB.

Looks like my iPad Pro 10.5 256GB cellular is gonna be sold soon. Any takers? Still has over a year and half of AppleCare left too.

Didn't see this was available until 10:30PM tonight, and had my order complete by 10:36PM, but delivery times have already slipped to the end of the 1st week of April for a SG 256GB Cellular. I Thought these would drop after the 3/25/19 Apple Event, and so I was not prepared at all for the surprise release. Kinda bummed that I was caught off guard.

I've bought iPads on day one since the very 1st one (2010), including the 1st Gen with cellular that came out soon after that, and then bought everything up to the Air 2 and Mini 4 in 2015 and picked up on day one. I stopped buying iPads after the Air 2 and Mini 4, since they have had more than enough power and tech to last me through the years.

But this will be the FIRST iPad that I've planned to buy for months but won't receive on day one. (I know, call the wahhhmbulance, but I gave my mini 4 to my son last year for college).

I love the Mini because it fits in a coat pocket or cargo pants pocket. The Air 2 is still a very good iPad, so if I need something bigger I can fall back to that, and don't need to upgrade.

You know you can get refund from Apple for unused Applecare? I just did it for an MBP. Two minute phone call and £160 in my account a couple of days later. Leaving it on would not have added £160 to selling price.

May not be worth it for the iPad, as it was only £70 or so from what I remember. Plus, not many iPad Pro 10.5 256 cellulars on eBay with almost 2 years of Applecare left, so hopefully the price reflects this, seen as quite a few people are after iPad Pro 10.5s instead of the new 10.5 iPad Airs now.

You're probably right there.

I’d just like mine to freaking be here. Best Buy lied to me and screwed me over. I know it’ll be perfect for my needs (reading, drawing/coloring, light game playing, web surfing)

The iPad mini 2019 Apple presented is precisely what I wanted. Great!
(How often do you say this about Apple in 2019?!?! :D )

Apple occasionally *accidentally* ships ‘hidden/unexpected’ gems from binned parts

se 1 and mini5 are that it seems. And Xr tho that ones way more expensive

And AirPods just knocked it outta the park unexpectedly
