2021 iMac order thread

Thank you. Also, I have found Zoom so much easier to use. I know some organizations prefer Teams but we are pretty open here and have gravitated to Zoom.
My purple 8 core 16gb/1TB just moved to preparing to ship and my credit card was charged. The estimated delivery is still June 17-24… seems so far away!

I gave up waiting. Cancelled my order and picked up the standard 8X8 256gb in silver yesterday from store stock. I've also bought the Magic Trackpad separately. Maybe the numeric keyboard another time. A few extra $ but saved about a month waiting.
I figured this would have happened with me, too. and because I wanted it 'soon'(bought on-line), I decided to go a step below your purchase by buying the 8x7 256 green ... and with one fan. I didn't think anything I would do with this computer would max out the thermals so one fan sounds ok to me. One last thing to break.
I got it with UPS to Germany and at the next working day it would delivered. Tomorrow is Saturday and when you get it with UPS, they won’t deliver tomorrow, so Monday you will get it. Cork- Shannon- Dublin - Cologne was my route.
My 512/8, yellow, trackpad/no mouse order arrived today and it looks even better than I'd hoped. Replaces a 27" iMac and I think the smaller size makes the bold colours fit really well. Might have been a bit much if the device was bigger, but this just looks great. Here's a pic with not so great lighting.

Mine it’s ship from Cork too. Start today afternoon. Delivery next Wednesday in Switzerland. Probably coming earlier?

Thanks! Less than 24 hours. After that it took maybe 12 hours before it was actually collected, but from then on it went very fast. Collected in China Tuesday, passed through Belgium and Germany, and was delivered in Norway Friday.
Well, I was planning to order last week then put it off because it was going to arrive while I was on a trip, and my local store didn't have one. Got on yesterday just to clear out my cart, and my local store had availability, so I picked up the base model in silver (I know, no fun, but I like all my stuff to match because I'm weird like that) this morning, set it up, updated it, and am typing on it right now.
My last iMac was a 21.5 refurb I bought to do some work from home pre-Covid. I sold it once all three of my part-time jobs came to a screeching halt, but I just find it easier to work with photos and customize photo books/albums on a desktop than an iPad. Suffice it to say this screen is incredible after being iPad only for a while. I'm loving the size!
I picked up a new 11" iPP yesterday as well. I think I'm just gonna start having my husband's paychecks direct deposited into Apple's account. ;-p

It says June 1st and it's coming via some newfangled shipper:
I have no idea if they deliver on Saturday or not. the only experience I had with them was they delivered my superdrive and dongle.... up til then fedex always brought the accessories.... main items were ups from china and crapshoot of ups or fedex for in country already deliveries.

I'll have to watch the tracking tomorrow to see if they are out for delivery or not... apple email just said June first and the text said BY June first...

I bought refurb (last iMac in 2017) ... and I used the trade-in program with the new iMac. I have to check on the way they credit the trade-in value.

DI Overnite is an express delivery company based in Santa Fe Springs, CA. Perhaps FedEx did a local hand-off to them?
What date did the shipping mail from Apple say? Also next Wednesday?

i guess it will come earlier. At my order the iMac was with standard shipping and then they ship with ups express saver.
fedex wasn't involved (or at least not anything that showed up in the tracking) when they delivered my other items. showed label created, then picked, then loaded on the truck. can't remember the specifics after that, if it said out for delivery or anything? the page isn't available for the past orders like it shows for fedex and ups even after delivered....
My imac (blue 16GB/1TB, numberpad Intl English) shipped thursday with an original delivery estimate of June 2nd. Final destination is Netherlands and it shipped with UPS from Cork, Ireland. Delivery estimate is now thursday June 3rd. I didn't have an option for express delivery but its pretty obvious that this is "saver" delivery. It's been sitting in Dublin, Ireland since thursday evening and my guess is that it won't move until Tuesday to get delivered on Thursday!
I guess I'll have to endure another day of waiting.... It's right on the mark of the original estimate when I ordered though!
