2021 iMac order thread

Congratulations! I'm coming from a 27" also and actually looking forward to slightly smaller screen. If the published dimensions are accurate, I should now finally be able to close my desk. My iMac sits on a roll-top desk and it about an inch and a half too tall to allow me to close my desk.
Out for delivery today with DHL! Original delivery was 1 - 8 June. Big surprise considering it was still showing as in Shanghai last night with a Wed 2 June estimate.
Oh no ? Can you not request it gets left with a neighbour or somewhere else? Or maybe reschedule?
2018 iPad Pro 11" - I had the 12.9 inch first and while the screen was great for films it was not very user friendly to hold when sitting on the sofa/in bed. When the screen got cracked I used the insurance money to get a new (as in 'unopened') ex-demo model of the 2018, much happier!
For info: I am in the UK. I ordered an orange 8 core 16gb/2TB iMac on pre-order day. The projected delivery was 1st-8th June. I got a shipping notice on Saturday but no tracking info since then, although it did say the delivery date was now 1st June. I was charged a couple of days ago but still no tracking info. I rang the number on the invoice this morning and spoke to a nice helpful lady who finally gave me the tracking number and told me DHL Express was the service. I have bunged the tracking number in the DHL tracking website and my iMac is now with the delivery courier so fingers crossed it will come early!
I'm hoping they leave it with a neighbour, otherwise I won't get it to at least Tuesday as I'm going away tomorrow for the bank holiday weekend.
woke up to hubby's blue still preparing to ship. I had hoped that it would have shipped and arrived tomorrow.... now I guess it will be after the holiday... *sigh*
Ordered just minutes after preorder started, and now my card just got charged. I’ve ordered 8/16/256 in silver with a delivery date 2/6-10/6 and I live in Denmark.

Enough hanging around for the corporate EPP discount to reflect ?, ordered to deliver in July. Its going to be a very long wait!
My pre-order history, order on release day (minutes from store re-opening = first ~5-15 min, depending on store issues, etc...) I get the item I want on release day.
That has been my experience in the last ~5 years of ordering 10+ new release items. This iMac (blue 16GB/1TB) has been the exception
same here stuck at order processing with June 1-8 deliver. and don’t call apple they only quote same thing your looking at
well at this point.... it's going to be well past 1 week since tomorrow is 1 week past release day and hubby's hasn't shipped. unless they are staged here or on a pallet not being tracked so it's either already here somewhere or on the way here so UPS or FEDEX get it today and deliver it overnight.... hubby's out of luck til Tuesday (and last day of apples window!)My pre-order history, order on release day (minutes from store re-opening = first ~5-15 min, depending on store issues, etc...) Got my delivery at lunch today, the yellow really is a thing of beauty! ? Haven't been able to stop playing with it this afternoon, the joys of being a freelancer. It feels like an absolute beast.
At this stage, fulfilling pre-orders, Apple store stock levels, and third-party seller stock, it's all about pre-packaged boxes. Not much option to package up an alternative for an already-ordered product.
It'll get easier over time, but right now, this is the only way it can be done without causing lots of potential issues.
If you already ordered, to prevent more delays by cancelling the order and having to re-order, get the trackpad from the Apple Store later as they will have it available....
My order had the full sized keyboard I wanted as well as ethernet option and was custom boxed for me and delivered on time.
Had I made any changes, it would have pushed back delivery...
If I want a trackpad, I will order from the Apple store and have the matching color sent.
Yeah I just used student discount because it’s only a few dollars less of a discount. Apple said if EPP price changes within my return period they’d price match.
I got the mouse and want to try trackpad too, wonder when they will be available to order separate?
Big news for me!! Apple has FINALLY moved my preorder of the blue 16GB 1TB iMac to "PREPARING TO SHIP" Moved yesterday morning and I was charged accordingly. Does anybody know how long this will take to move to shipped? Also, big question here, does apple ship over the weekends and could it potentially be delivered over the weekend? It says I have expedited shipping if that helps. Excited!!
