Since I have it showing up on my UPS app, and the option is there for me to change it to my local UPS Customer center, should I wait? I want to pick it up there, but should I wait til the package has at least left Anchorage later?

It is September 11, 2022, in China. 2nd wave of shipment has kicked in. Those that do not have a tracking number. I hope it starts to populate throughout the day. (China time) I have a feeling UPS workers may be busy sorting out the iPhones and busy creating labels for them as I speak at the moment. Once labels are created it gets scanned and the UPS tracking number shows up and gets assigned to us.
Appreciate the advice. Last year, I had to call cause the CC Center wasn’t on the list. Neither I nor it moved in the last year though.

@Brad7 is 100% correct. Wait till it gets air bourne from Anchorage, Alaska to Louisville Kentucky. It’s a good 8+ hour flight when it’s up in the air request it then.Appreciate the advice. When your iPhone arrives in Kentucky, it will be flagged as hold for pick up right away. Following up with a famous import scan on Thursday. Good luck and safe travels.

5:03AM order for a 256 Max SB No Carrier and Apple says “preparing for shipment” as of last night but no movement on UPS.
This is normal. Hopefully, the tracking number populates for you overnight or early morning. (USA time)
I do remember that last year it caused some concern that UPS may have changed their pickup from CC policy or something
Form what I’ve read and heard, if it doesn’t show up on the list, you can just call or email them and they will allow you to pick up from the CC!
They want you to do it online. So even when you call them they can do it for you but will prefer you to go online and do it yourself. It’s very easy. They will provide you with instructions on how to do it. Last year I did it with a UPS worker while being on the phone. Rest assured, the request was granted and I saw “hold for pick up message” in KY.
I was still able to get it held at the CC last year, but I can't remember how. UPS lost it in Louisville anyway.
You can still do this even if you don’t see a CC option when you try to hold the package yourself right? I have access to my tracking info and when I go to change delivery, no CCs are available in the list.
If the option doesn't show up later in the shipping process, I'd call the central UPS help line and arrange to have it held at your local CC.
