It is not available because it has not passed the clearance from the Chinese government along with the USA Customs Border Patrol 🛃. Once it passes that inspection you should be able to see it as well. However, Apple is strict with UPS so the option may not be available unless you call or do it online.
I wonder what happens at these border checks. Do they have big scanners? They better not be busting mine open for random checks! 😂
I see them all the time at LAS airport. They are pretty cool and chill but all mean business over anything. They do the inspections physically in person. There is a checklist they have to go with and it has to meet all the criteria. If it doesn’t then it causes the delay with more thorough inspection.

Here is a sample of what it looks like. CBP has to fill this out. It must pass the inspection before it departs. This process is done in Anchorage, Alaska. Before it goes to Louisville, Kentucky.
3rd image is the one they have to fill out for the pallets to be exported.

Oh, I had never had an issue in the 3 years before using the app to change it, the CC was always there, and then last year it wasn’t, and I finally called and it was no problem. And this year, my CC is back.
I’ve always been able to get it as soon as the CC opens at 11am here.
Changing it to a store causes that delay. The ones that don’t are if you hold it at a UPS CC Center(Hub). Technically they have to deliver it to the store instead of your home, with the UPS CC it is there where they sort it before going to your house, all they have to do is hold it.
Same. UPS was being very strict about it last year so I’m sure they will act the same this time.
Was on the fence and didn’t end up ordering until this morning. I originally went with a 13 and then changed my mind. I went with a 256gb space black model. Shipping date is Oct 11-18, unsurprisingly. Oh well. Hoping my delivery date ends up being sooner. How likely is that to happen? This is my first time ever preordering after the dates slip.
Congratulations on ordering your iPhone. May have better chance picking one up at an Apple store if you don’t want to wait that long.

Wow, interesting. I heard there could be an M2 iMac. Those iMacs look beautiful, I’ve been tempted to get one.
Indeed! A couple years I overslept. Not willing to wait, started stalking Apple Store. Once, I ordered at 8am on launch day and picked up by noon. Once, I had to wait a couple days. Once, it took a couple weeks, but still way before delivery dates online orders promised.
Just checked. Still nothing on UPS my choice. Even in calendar view. Hmm.

The final stamp is going to be the "Your package has been released by the government agency). Again, you will not see that. You will simply see the "Departure scan". Also, Notice the date and time difference. There is a bit of a wait from 1-3 days. The whole process takes time.
This is what you are expected to see. "Departed From Facility" Expect that to hit tomorrow. (USA) time. My guess is evening time (PST).

Unfortunately the closest Apple store to me is an hour+ away. I’m definitely thinking about trying a walk-in, but I’d hate to get there and then immediately turn around and drive back home.
