If it makes you feel any better, I tried to pick it up in store for my order, but the app kept glitching out and wouldn’t let me. So maybe you didn’t have the option anyways.Only bummer for me is UPS arrives late in the day here. I probably should’ve done a pick up at the Apple store.
Woke up to some great news, and then 45 minutes later, even more movement in China. Also was able to put my UPS CC Hold request in...probably about the earliest I've ever been able to put the hold request in. My paid UPS My Choice membership expires 10/06 - so just in time.
At 6:40am, I only had the earlier two updates. Then checking now, it's at the customs clearance facility. On to the flight tracking with you all! Gotta hit back to page 291 and start catching up.

Arrived at 9:50. Glad I didn’t get left behind.
The next scan will be "Departed from Facility" Which will be from CGO, Zhangzhou International Airport. Don't expect to receive that stamp anytime soon.
Hi y'all! Excited to be on this journey with everyone! Was able to track my package by reference number but UPS My Choice isn't working for me so I'm guessing I'm with everyone on the 2nd wave.
We'll all soon be flying high at 40,000 feet to our destination...at least our phones will be.

This is my current status as well. Looks like we’re traveling together for now!
Give it 2-3 hours it will let you access it. It takes time for the system to register it.
The new iPhone should already have iOS 16 from factory. You just need to backup your current device to iCloud. During the transfer, it will ask you if you want to convert or transfer eSIM. If not, go to your carrier website and do a change/update sim where it should give you an option to enter physical SIM card number or eSIM. If you selected the option to connect your carrier for the preorder, there should also be an eSIM on the new device. There are these options restore your data to new device.
1. Restore from iCloud on new device (data and redownload all apps automatically)
2. Device transfer using the camera dongle cable
3. Start as new, sign into iCloud to resync all your data, redownload apps manually as needed
I go with option 3 since I wouldn’t want all 300+ apps to be redownload automatically so I’ll just download as needed. After set up and cellular is working as it should, make sure to migrate Authenticator apps to new device since it won’t automatically when you sign into those apps.

Right now, I can change the delivery to a new address, but only to a neighbor near my old house.
It looks like I can change delivery to a UPS location near me in VA, but not the local CC.
Looks like my best bet may be the neighbor route and then have one of my kid’s go over and grab it immediately to overnight to me.

Oh no sorry let me clarify. My enrollment is still pending from 2 years when I tried to enroll during iPhone 12 pre-orders. I don't think I'll be able to see my tracking number until the import scan 🥲. At least I know it's been scanned in though
