Diverting to local UPS store will delay.
UPS CC Hold is best, but make sure you pick the correct one that all your other UPS deliveries route through. Best to go through desktop site. You can then do the CC hold and pay $6 if you don't want to sign up annually.

I only had one CC option and I went through the desktop site. I went through each page and got to the final page that said it was be available on Friday but didnāt submit yet bc Iām just gonna wait till it gets to the states to submit it. Since it said itāll be available for pick up on Friday, that means itās the correct CC for my location, correct?
@hungryteresa Are you going to be near Manhattan later tonight? I always wanted to see the Twin Tower lights that they launch yearly. Are you able to see from where you live?

Is UPS Follow My Delivery still offered? I have not kept tabs on it and wonder if for security reasons they stopped it but one year I simply drove to where the UPS truck was and picked up my iPhone. I even brought the UPS guy some treats as an apology. He said he actually preferred it because it was one less stop for him.
It all depends too. I've had Apple package on launch day diverted to local UPS Store and I was able to pick it up on the same day. But of course UPS CC is the most better option.
I just requested a UPS CC hold for mine and mine was free. Of course I do have the premium membership for the UPS MyChoice.
256gb is kind of the sweet spot in terms of value, I find. Based on your current use (and annual upgrade cycle) it seems like 256gb should work well, since youāre coming from 128gbā what is it that has you considering 512gb?
I used to get the largest capacity availableā but man I think that was a waste for me, in retrospect. I do pay for iCloud storage so I can optimize my photo storage space; 256gb has turned out to be plenty for me, especially when Iām upgrading annually.
More updates on tracking on AfterShip app that I donāt see on the UPS app and web.
All these years, I've never been able to track by reference with my phone number or order number. Looking at my tracking now, neither of those numbers are listed as reference numbers. So weird because I know that is the case for so many.

I did notice on the app it let me pick an alternate drop location near me in VA. Hoping when I get home from brunch it offers my local CC as well.
I think UPS hides most of those but I guess apps like Parcel or Aftership may have more in-depth info.

I see the same thing....none of the reference #s that are in the shipment match phone or order # this time.
Usually shows up when you use a reference number and MyChoice UPS account. If it doesnāt show give it time. It will populate fully. Rely on the Phone number.
How are you supposed to track this? All I have is apples order number. They havenāt sent me a tracking number and the website says to go to Track Shipment. I donāt what that is
