I went with this case:
Totallee Case
I wanted something to show off the purple phone. I don’t like Apple’s clear case because I feel like it’s too plastic and slippery. I like the feel of the silicone ones. This totallee case is supposed to feel like that but just transparent. Never purchased one of these cases so I may hate it, figured it was worth a try. As for screen protector, I went with Spigen. Ordered it Wednesday and received it yesterday.
So I had the Totallee clear case when I was using a midnight green iPhone 11 Pro Max. The case is indeed very thin, very comfortable, and not slippery like the Apple Clear Case. The only issue is that the color of the case has weirdly become green. I would expect this kind of case went yellowish, though. But it's like the green color has been dyed to the case.
Then I upgraded to the 13 Pro Max with Apple's new MagSafe Clear Case. As you said, it's too plastic and slippery, so even though compared to their own silicone or leather case, it's not very easy to install and not very comfortable. Also, it's bulky and has the ugly MagSafe ring on it. While I like how secure it is - the phone never slips out from the case. Even when I use the Apple Silicone Case, there is a chance that the phone may slip out a bit from the corner part, depending on how I use it. So it might be a side effect when it's easy to install (or maybe it changed from a flat design, unlike the rounded corner on the 11). When I was using it with Totallee, I found that the case is so easy to put on that sometimes I may also worry if it will fall out in certain conditions. But if you're careful on a daily basis, it would be fine. I dropped my 13 on the concrete floor outdoors, which left ugly marks on my Apple Clear Case and the screen protector, but the phone is totally okay. Finally, after 11 months of use, it didn't go any yellowish at all.
I may go back to the Totallee case for my 14 Pro Max this year. Since I went with the silver one, I wouldn't worry about the phone's color being dyed to the case. I just wish it won't go yellowish so quickly. If I'm going to any crazy outdoor events, I may have a more rugged case as a backup.
