My ink leather case came today. It changes color a bit depending on the light. In natural light it looks almost black, with navy highlights. In warm white light it looks dark purple. In cool white light it looks navy blue. (In pic, l-r natural, warm, cool).

I like the color, but I'm not sure how it's going to look with my deep purple phone. I'm afraid it's going to end up looking like a big bruise. Ah well. I have a blingy case coming, too. Because, you know, girls like to have choices.

My case came in today. Got iOS 16 installed. Now, to wait for Friday.

I keep my old 5s only to play Five Dice (Yahtzee). It doesn't run on 64-bit hardware.

My UPS tracking is only showing the last update on 9/11. But, above that, it was last updated on 9/12/2022 at 04:46 PM. This is interesting.

My iPhone 14 Pro Deep Purple is showing as Preparing for shipment in the Apple Store app, and UPS my choice shows:

Just spotted this UPS Flight. UPS 76. One thing for sure is there is alot of activity going on and there are many UPS flights scheduled to be in China today.

Does Expedited Shipping even work? I mean, if the phones come from China and are rushed to their destinations, then what does expedited shipping mean? I think it's a money grab on UPS's part.

It might get you a few days if you order something else from Apple (it's an Apple thing) but not on the phones (at least these release day orders). A few months from now you can pay $8 and get your iPhone a couple days earlier, but of course by then the backlog will be shipped.

First time this has ever happened but mine is being shipped to the wrong state but the right zip code and street address. I live in Washington DC and UPS my choice shows Washington, MD. I know mail is done by zip code so I’m trying not to worry. Anyone have this happen before?

Hmmm. You're right. Now I can't remember why the game didn't want to run on later devices. Maybe lack of updates to the app did it in.

I added the new loan to my account. Kinda weird it doesn’t just populate. You have to log in and link it based on the number they send you. Payments start 10/09.
