I mean, I love my iPhone and all that, but I have priorities. Family, my girlfriend...😁
That's great! Family comes first... so does the girlfriend in Saint George or what but when it's iPhone pre-order times. iPhone comes first. Everything MUST be on hold.

Everything. Point blank period

Used to be free $5.99 is a joke, money grabbers.
I would argue that there’s a cost incurred to UPS somewhere for changing a delivery—justified or not and regardless of if profit is made. The price Apple charged for repairing the screen of an iPhone 8 compared to an iPhone X increased $130. This makes sense to us because the complexity between what was and what is seems more apparent. It might appear that UPS hasn’t changed since delivery requests were free, but the nature of logistics and shipping has certainly become more complex in the past year or two. Or it might be easier to charge $5.99 to prevent every parcel delivery from becoming a free for all that undermines their shipping model.

Thankfully they leave the “choice” in “My Choice” up to you! I also remember when this community despised the signature requirement from Apple and having to pick up the package, ironically printing out the signature release forms so that the phone could sit on their doorstep. Ultimately, seller determines price, and buyer determines value: $5.99 might not be enough of a value to safeguard a $799-$1,199 asset.

I think they put the price in this year maybe because too many people requested a hold for pick-up option for free. UPS saw it as an opportunity to make more money.
