Are you sure that’s our plane? No departure scan yet.
I hope so. Usually takes 30-45 minutes. We will find out in 15 mins.

These are pre-ordered iPhones. Fresh off the production line. Straight from the factory. Fresh Batch. That is what makes these iPhones special.
Oh, I know, I meant from Louisville, why would they just let all of them sit a day before starting to head to the different major hubs in the US and then finally the local hubs. They should be doing that right away so if there are any mix-ups with what truck or plane they end up on and they end up headed in the wrong direction, there's time to reroute it back to where it needs to be delivered to for Friday. Seems crazy to just sit in Louisville for at least a day.

Oh wow, I am way behind then. Had my order place within minutes of going live. I did get my departure scan from China around 5pm EDT and am in Korea now which is new. In the past it was always China > Alaska.
There's still plenty of time! Your iPhone will be in Louisville by tomorrow afternoon. Then it'll depart Louisville on Thursday and be at your door on Friday. I think last year, the iPhones went to Incheon too before going to Anchorage, right @TheYayAreaLiving 🎗?

I always like to get the new color each year just to be different. I use an Otterbox case, so it gets hidden most of the time as well, but the purple this year is just so darn pretty. I didn't upgrade to the 12 that year because I needed to save for a new iPad as my older one was over 10 years old and I really loved that Pacific Blue that year.
Is there a poll somewhere for colors this year? I really wonder how many are getting purple!

That's what is frustrating. One year my phone missed leaving Louisville and was delayed 2 days until they located it. Why don't they just get all the phones out to the major hubs and finally to the local hubs where they will get loaded onto delivery trucks and let them sit at that location then until Friday delivery. At least then, if there are any problems, there's a little extra time to get them to the local hub to still make Friday delivery.
UPS has SDF set up to be the hub, they send them out of there on Thursday afternoon through just after midnight on Friday morning.

The trucks are busy working on Thursday afternoon/evening. Trucks are not a great place to store iPhones, let alone trucks that are out with packages to be delivered on Thursday. First time the phones are at local UPS locations is when there is an empty truck into which to put them.

100% Accurate! Excellent Job!

Guys. Need your opinion about something. For the past years I’ve been using dBrand for tempered glass screen protectors. I love them because they are very thin, and most importantly the oleophobic coating on them feels so like Apple’s on the iPhone screen.

Sadly, it seems like dBrand is slacking behind this year on shipping and I want something that delivers on Friday so I saw the Belkin Ultra Glass on Apple Store, should I get it or do you guys recommend something else?

I don’t want anything that darkens the screen, for privacy or any of this. I just want to feel like I am using my phone without one, and the same amazing oleophobic coating Apple uses.

Is having no glass screen protector an option? haven't put one on in years...and I've never looked back :)

They can lock them down in Louisville until launch

Hmm... I don't know who I talked to since I was just trying to get any human on the phone vs the automated "that tracking ID isn't valid" voice. There didn't seem to be an option when I dialed into ask for International shipping. If I don't get an update from Apple by the end of tomorrow - I might try again. too frustrated right now with the stupidity of the whole thing.
Yeah, when you finally get a person on the phone, tell them you need to talk to someone about an international package that you are trying to track.
