Its a glitch.

It is odd. I did sign my wife up for UPS my choice and the tracking number is not showing up. I have had UPS my choice for years (because of Apple) and have had no issues.

Called UPS. They are zero help. They claim they cannot look up a package by a Reference ID - they can ONLY look up by tracking ID that starts in 1Z. I find that really really really hard to believe. All I can do is 1) hope they scan the freaking package soon so that Apple gets the tracking ID and gives it to me or 2) Hope it goes to the correct address so I can actually get it on Friday instead of them thinking nobody is home and not delivering it and it going into re-delivery hell.

Are you asking for International when you call UPS? Before I had UPS My Choice last year, I ended up calling a few times and when they asked me where the package was originating from, they told me I had to speak to someone in International, so if you weren't getting to that department, you might want to try again because it is definitely an International shipment.

Yeah, I thought I saw a Newark arrival scan last year, so this confirms it! I'll start obsessing over SDF -> EWR flights on Thursday. Thank you! 😝

Nope, Apple wouldn't allow UPS to do that.

Last year my phone showed a scheduled Wednesday delivery for a few days, but it arrived on launch day Friday as expected.

Hmm... I don't know who I talked to since I was just trying to get any human on the phone vs the automated "that tracking ID isn't valid" voice. There didn't seem to be an option when I dialed into ask for International shipping. If I don't get an update from Apple by the end of tomorrow - I might try again. too frustrated right now with the stupidity of the whole thing.

Woo, I'm so happy that everyone has left ZhengZhou and are now enroute to Anchorage! Can't wait to be reunited in in Louisville. 🥰

For the NYC people, do you remember if UPS flies to JFK or Newark before getting delivered to us? I live in Brooklyn if that's any help. I tried to look up my old tracking number from last year, but it's not valid anymore. 😅

I believe we go to Newark and then sorted at regional facility in NJ.
