Weird, on the individual tracking page, I have an arrival scan in AK:

But on the UPS MyChoice page, the last scan is leaving Korea:

What is interesting is my customs activity never showed on Aftership until it arrived In Louisville unlike some, was more interesting that it showed for phones already in Louisville that they have the customs stuff that was not completed on the UPS network in China already done for Thursday, guessing our phones will move earlier on Thursday in that showing on UPS and their leaving. Mine usually is on a larger truck from Louisville to east central Illinois. Either goes via interstate through Indianapolis, and zooms by me to state hUP 40 miles SW and then back to our local smaller hub Or it comes through southern Illinois sometimes and stops in a hub south of that one 40 miles SW of us, then that hub and finally us. As someone stated lots of the local UPS facilities are not major warehouses so our phones stop at regional hubs that have some storage and also they break up the load of phones in a larger truck that came from Louisville to then send out to the local facilities in our towns. Interesting process.
Agree! It's been confusing people this whole entire process. I think all the info is good and great. Also, it sends you a notification. But it's still very confusing.

@Brad7 I'm afraid. Come Thursday, This Aftership app will confuse the heck out of people with multiple scanning occuing..
Yeah you should be a regular understanding what is going on, almost need a license to operate Aftership LOL. At least I know what is going on so not confused. Probably should keep later scans to myself so as to not confuse others here. I still like it lets you peak under the UPS covers so to speak and see things a really going on in Louisville even though it seems they just sit there for long time.

this thread is 600 pages long on mobile. no one can read them all.

if the top of post 1 were edited to address this concern it would probably help.

i did read all of post 1 and was able to track by reference, but UPS seems to have helpfully removed most of the relevant info when returning a reference search result. so all i can see is the last 4 digits of the tracking number and the fact that the phones are supposed to be delivered by 7pm friday.

given that, how are people figuring out the flight numbers?
I think people are using Flightradar24 and FlightAware to see what outgoing flights are leaving X airport. Most of the people who ordered on Friday 9/9 and have a Friday 9/16 delivery date already have iPhones in Louisville (UPS WorldPort) - this group arrived yesterday or are on the UPS 183 flight that just departed Anchorage. By this afternoon, everyone's iPhones should be in Louisville together.

It looks like for the past couple years, the route has been:

ZhengZhou, China -> Incheon, S. Korea -> Anchorage -> Louisville -> Your metro airport -> Your house/apartment

As mentioned by many others, once the import scans go through in Louisville, only then will you see your status change from Preparing to Ship to Shipped via Apple. This probably will not happen until Thursday 9/15 AM. You'll also get your official tracking number if you can't track it now (seems like UPS is hiding the full tracking number for security reasons for some people). From Louisville, UPS will most likely fly your iPhone to your closest airport on Thursday at some time (it could be into the evening, do NOT fret). On Friday, your local UPS driver will have your iPhone on his/her truck and you'll get it as expected. Last year, there were storms in NYC and there were delays for the flights going to NYC metro area, and I was worried that I might not get my iPhone on time, but I still got my iPhone on Friday as expected.

seriously if yayarealiving puts this info right at the top of post 1 even if only for today and tomorrow he wouldn’t have to suffer fools like me.
All the info is posted on Page 1. Everything @Brad7 has been saying it's all listed there. I'm sorry you feel that way. Hope you enjoy your stay with us.

It may seem like an incremental upgrade for anyone who has an IP11 or higher, but when they upgrade the features that I use every day, that's enough for me.

Camera upgrade is always huge for me...I take a ton of pics.

And I'm sorry, but I am a serious multitasker on my phone and the Dynamic Island is a game changer for the way I use my phone.

Facts. 100% Affirmative!

i’m saying that you need to put it right at the top of the post in bold letters that the apple app might say preparing to ship but it is inaccurate… for your own sanity!! if you don’t want people crapping up your thread with dumb questions, head them off at the pass.
