Alabama again. *sigh* They vote for Alabama because they are used to. But how dare an SEC team not be included in the playoff? A crime against humanity.

It should be undefeated Florida State. FSU became the first team in the history of the College Football Playoff to go undefeated and win a conference title as a Power 5 team and failed to make the playoff. They even kept winning with a backup QB in. Meanwhile, 1 loss Alabama, who barely beat Georgia to avoid a second loss, gets voted in because...Alabama.

I just heard a commentator making this exact point on the news.

Liberty? Really? I didn’t even know who Liberty was. If Bo Nix was questioning his playing in a bowl game, I highly doubt he will play in it now. What a disappointing way to end a good season.

The loss to Washington was heartbreaking but I’m ready to look toward the mysterious future for the Ducks. A new conference, a new quarterback who remains a mystery; major changes None of which I am at all excited about.

The Fiesta Bowl with Liberty? As far as I’m concerned this season is over.

In Bowl games...follow the money. Oregon isn't taking on Liberty for the challenge.

The committee claims that the injury to FSU QB Travis was taken into consideration. Last time I checked though, football was a team sport. Allegedly, the rules say individual players and consideration of what would make a compelling matchup are allowed to be considered (actually in the rules). In other words, how they "feel."

What a joke. Maybe it's time to just dump the whole national championship concept and just have the individual conference championships and Bowl games. Or just have the sports writers do it, like in the old days, one giant poll. It's obvious there is no fair way to do playoffs.

I've always held an unpopular opinion that the game isn't actually any better today than it was before the BCS. All we did is gut the tradition of the various bowl matchups and for what? Still the same old bitching at the end of the season.

I loved the writers deciding it and then the debates afterwards.

But the Cash grab that it has become will never go away...

This right here. So much bitching and moaning. This hasn't changed and I doubt it will change. I think, until they get something in place like the NFL, which I don't see happening, there will always be this. It won't go away.

This is everything you need to know about the Bowl games. Ironically funny.

Yeah, my biggest problem with Liberty is who they were founded by... but also, yeah, I'm sure they're not the same caliber as most of the rest of the Top 25.

There is your answer, they play in the ACC.
Which according to all accounts is a Power 5 conference. But now apparently some Power 5 conferences are more equal than other Power 5 conferences.

As I said earlier, I’m done with college football. I won’t support such a corrupt/biased system.

Actually that is a pretty good idea. Have conferences and when playoffs come around have a two or three tiered system. Where the bottom two tiers could have their own playoffs and the winner(s) either move up to the next level or down level base on playoff results and consistency over the last couple of seasons.

Done watching it, but not done talking about not watching it…

And now there are 4.
