With respect,

He was issued a written reprimand from the FIA and F1 for the comment. He wasn't in Singapore and I have not seen him in Japan yet, so perhaps some internal team image washing. He needs it.
He was reminded of his responsibilities as a public figure. And rightfully so. That is not the same as some seem to want it to be. I don’t deal in speculation. Just the facts.

Anyway, my alarm is set for tomorrow.

Well this race is exciting. Lando had a great attempt at the start. Max being max. And Perez seems to just fall apart. Only lap 14 and already two front wings. And on top of that stupid to overtake under safety car conditions. Oh dear oh dear. Not good.

Loving the fights between Hamilton and Russel. Not sure it good for their race pace and tyre management but it’s fun. Especially seeing Lewis push George off 😇😂

Very enjoyable race. Congrats to Max for the win and Red Bull winning the constructors championship. Despite a DNF by Sergio.

Awesome driving by both McLaren guys. Piastry as a rookie is so impressive.

Loved the races between Ferrari and Mercedes. LOL George wasn’t happy with team orders, although they made sense. Shame though as I wanted Ferrari get those points for their constructors championship.

The next event is a sprint weekend, really? The FIA is hell bent on this silly idea? Like some bloke suggested we return back to the 1 lap shootout for qualifying.. That bloke was Alonso... really where are the sane rational adults in the sport??

And if Max wins that one, he'll be the world champion 🎉🥳🥊 He'll be able to take it easy again on the Sunday 🤣

With the way Perez has been driving recently, he's been able to take it easy for a while now.
Oh man, today was yet again not his day. Very impressive how Christian Horner managed to say with a straight face that Perez was a big part of the manufacturers' championship success after this performance. He shouldn't be worried about Max, he should be worried about Lewis, he'll grab the 2nd place in the standings of him soon.

Still impressed with the Papaya's, a double podium.. That has been the story of the season...
Yes the team improved a lot, I loved how they tried to take Max at the start. We knew about Lando and how good he is, but I didn't think Piastry would do so well in his rookie year. And as a team they seem to get the car sorted properly. Love it.

Another dominant performance by the RB19/Honda and Max. Fitting to win their 2nd consecutive WCC in Japan with Honda celebrating their 75th Anniversary. Honda Power is unmatched. Full speed development on the RB20 now.

No answers for Sergio today.

Congratulations to Lando and Oscar on P2, P3. Oscar deserving of DOD. Well done. McLaren has a great car. Superb development.

Mercedes looking confused without Toto. Good chance of Lewis and George having an incident before the end of 2023 after today. George‘s frustration building every race with the calls. Regardless of legitimacy George is reaching a Rosberg moment.

Toto was in charge when Lewis and Rosberg collided, more than once, maybe his time at the job is over, or never was as good as anyone thinks he is, clearly lost the plot in 2021 when he forgot what happened in 2021.. Time for someone younger, maybe his wife??

A race that had a few interesting battles. Cool to see McLaren regularly on the podium again and with two very talented drivers. I hope they make some technological leaps over the winter, the sport needs it.

The Mercedes squabble was fun to watch, Lewis subtly showing George who is the more experienced driver, loved the little nudge before T1 to back him off after the overtake. They just need a faster package for next year and I think we will see fireworks.

Lewis said Max would win by 30 seconds. In the end it was only 19!
Very one sided. Interesting battles between team mates down the field.
Good 2-3 for McLaren. Just wish they looked like they were in the same formula as RB.
Perez had an absolute shocker. I’m sure as Christian looks down the field he doesn’t mind his two drivers not being close enough to bang wheels.

George can hold his own against Lewis. ;)

We legitimately give Checco grief, but he is still second in the World Driving Championship and did contribute one-third of the total points to date to their Constructor's Championship thanks to Top 10 finishes in 14 of 16 races.

Very true, a point I've made several times. Although there are still plenty of points to get and from where I'm sitting I doubt he can hold on two second place. Damn, he couldn't even overtake those at the back of the pack. Without Max's consistent driving, they wouldn't have had it now.

What a dirty race! Perez seemed to have lost the plot, and I find it VERY odd they seemed to want Perez to join the race again to then serve a penalty after retiring the car?
Congrats to Red Bull, another constructors in the bag! And McLaren did brilliantly too!

Not sure why the stewards gave permission for Perez to re-enter the race, the car was unfit to race, hence the retirement, then many laps later creates a risk to the remaining drivers, by driving said unfit car on the track..what should have happened is the moment Perez entered the track, a safety car was called, so that the track is safe... But no, the race director saw no problems with allowing an unsafe/damaged car on track, without any sort of notice to other drivers..

Just imagine if this track was as bad as Silverstone was, a couple seasons back, when car 44 won with 2 punctures? What if Max had needed a safety car.. Or worse, Perez broke down in a dangerous part of the track, blew an engine, fluids on the track? Max goes and bins it????

It is very clear that there are no sane rational adults running the sport... Was it legal to allow Perez on the track? Legal yes, ethical? NO, safe, No?

But will the FIA/Race Director ban this sort of insanity? Highly unlikely... It was cheating, gaming the system.. Just a plain stupid move...

Didn’t they repair the damage before he went back out? He was just trying to avoid a grid penalty at the next race.
Not saying I think it was the right thing, just that’s what I thought they did.

It was a bit odd, never seen that one before. And apparently they found a 'loophole' in the interpretation of the rules such that the FIA had to allow it, but they've now also adjusted the rules such that it can't be used it. Clever stuff by Red Bull, and saved him a little bit for the next race.

As said the car was repaired before it went back out, it was very odd though. F1 likes its odd rules though.
