Alas, the whole point of Vegas was the "glitz and glamour". If the "Vegas Experiment" proves successful, it will surely be replicated as it will make even more money for everyone involved in Formula One.

Sadly you’re probably right.. yeah we really need opening ceremony’s for every race……
I think you are right as well. But I'm hopeful they just keep it to certain tracks. Miami was bad, Vegas is even worse. But to be honest, it is what I'd expect of the USA. So as long as it works locally I'm fine with it, and as long as they don't force this over the top approach to other circuits I'm sure they do well out of it. Ultimately, it's good to see, and celebrate, the cultural differences when the race travels the world.

True it's good to celebrate, but for me each country and track has their own personality anyway. We will just have to get used to it, it then again they aren't going to spend that kind of cash on every race either.

But even for me as an American the spectacles around the US races feel tacky and artificial, like they are trying to cater to some European's stereotypical view of American culture.

I didn't want to say this but noticed every American race seems to have a hefty injection of stereotypes thrown in.

Imagine if at Silverstone the podium was held on top of a combine harvester, with drivers made to wear Crockett & Jones fine English shoes and tweed jackets while they celebrate by throwing tea over each other? I'd best not give them any ideas.

I asked DALL-E to give us an idea of what a stereotypical podium might look like in different countries. The results are spectacular as always with DALL-E.

ROFLMAO, Although that is a rather old-fashioned view of the UK as well. I'd imagine it more like a version of the cast of little Britain…

Sainz must be having flashbacks to Vegas as he brought out the Red Flag eight minutes into FP2 with a massive shunt. The back of the Ferrari looks pretty wrecked so he could have another grid penalty in his future. Hulkenberg then promptly brought out another Red Flag as the session resumed ~30 minutes later, meaning the teams only had about 20 minutes of actual track time

There is a race again ...?

At least Sainz and Hamilton are helping to make the battle for 2nd in the Constructor's Championship interesting with the former out in Q1 and the latter in Q2. :p

It really is a good demonstration on how consistent Max has been this season yet again. It’s just all about the racing no ifs and buts

Too bad Norris stuffed that corner on his final lap, but P5 is not terrible with Piastri P3. Nice job by Russell to go 9th to 4th on his final lap.

So LeClerc decently close to Max, but we know that means nothing in the race so Max will notch his 19th win for the season tomorrow. I do not think Ferrari is going to be able to catch Mercedes for 2nd in the CC and Alonso should finish 4th in the WDC ahead of Sainz.

So I can sleep in and catch the VOD. :p

Very true. Absolutely dominant season for Max. The other teams have closed the gap, but they don't have Max. I doubt this season will ever be duplicated by another Team. Unless RBR repeats in 2024.

91 days until 2024 Practice Sessions. Hopefully next year will be racier up front and not just from P4 back.

No. Some cars will pass one another with DRS behind Max. No racing will take place.
Oh stop being so salty. Of course there will be racing. Still 4th place to be decided between Alonso, Sainz, Norris and LeClerc. Plus just 4 points between Mercedes and Ferrari for 2nd in the CWC. So that could provide some excitement.

It really is a good demonstration on how consistent Max has been this season yet again. It’s just all about the racing no ifs and buts
Yes; the 'oh but he's got the best car' whingers seem to have gone pretty quiet lately. The difference really is his talent, no question. Perez could only manage 9th!

I'm finding the denials from Hamilton about going begging for a seat at Red Bull very amusing. Perhaps they should give him one; then he'll have yet another car to complain about when he can't get it to go fast...

P1 for Max. I predict very little screen time for him tomorrow. He’ll just drive off.
Not a big fan of all the deleted lap times. Doesn’t make for a good spectacle.

I just hope 2024 is a better season. This one has been a foregone conclusion for months.
Trying to talk up all the who finishes where is a joke. Who cares?
