Rich owners of sports teams don't get to where they are by being passive, or not demanding.
OTOH, it might have been more fair to Saleh to see what he could do with a full season of Rogers at QB.
For Saleh's part, he might just be another former coordinator who is more suited to be a coordinator, or, he could try to emulate another former Jets coach, who latched onto a college team after being fired, and found success before returning to the NFL as a more seasoned head coach…some guy named Pete Carroll. (BTW, what's Rich Kotite up to nowadays?)
The "high energy" type coaches like the Salehs, Harbaughs, and the like probably play better in front of younger college kids anyway…at least those in the past, not emboldened by rich NIL deals and the transfer portal. It's a different game in college now as well.
Saleh's old team hasn't had stability at DC since he left the position. They say you can't go back again, but never say never.
