Yes, I have an 8:00AM pickup time and assume I’ll be playing with this thing the rest of the day🥳.
Still waiting to be charged, I've got a friend picking it up, are you getting it delivered or picked up. Also how are you planning or are you planing of shipping it to France?
That's what I was thinking, but seeing the starting price (with the Zeiss lenses) go past $4000 mentally makes it feel like a big jump, even though its not a big difference.

I finally got charged. So i guess going over the limit of My Apple Card was fine with financing… now i just need to clear it down to where i can use the card again….

I think 512 will be fine personally, at least until the next model, but not planning to store every photo I have on it locally.

Not sure about counter pick up at the UPS hub but with MyChoice and a small fee (I think) you can have the item delivered to a local UPS Pack&Ship store. I have used this w/o issues. You get an email letting you know it was delivered. Take that email/QR code and ID to pick it up. Easy and secure.
At least for iPhones, Apple has generally told UPS not to allow hold for pickup in the past few years. I would not count on it.
Right! Like, it’s unreasonable that the universe expects me to live a normal life between now and the 2nd… I should be allowed to skip work, watch literally all of the 17 million Vision Pro first impressions videos on YouTube by tech reviewers, and rock back and forth gently in my chair saying “not long now… it’s nearly the 2nd… you can make it…” to myself over and over. Recommend us bank altitude reserve. Set it to be default for Apple Pay. Save Apple Card for Apple only.
Wow, Altitude Reserve is a difficult to get card.
And my scores are in the 760+ and I still got denied.
I have the US Bank Cash + card for 5% back that I use for eating out which is nice.
I used the Apple Card for the VP which made the 3% cash back plus 0% financing....
Pretty soon, we'll start tracking those flights out of China on Flight Aware. 😃
I will be using a freight forwarder. I’ve seen other preorders getting cancelled because Apple didn’t allow it but seemingly mine was not flagged and is still preparing to ship at the moment. (I prefer not to disclose the name of the company yet but I’m sure it will go through)
Does anyone knows if Apple exclusively uses UPS this year or also FedEx? I still can’t track my order by reference (UPS) on my end.
Are you concerned about what you’d do if any issues with the headset ? Would it be expensive to ship it back to the US for support etc ?

Apple uses UPS for international shipments of: iPad, iPhone, AW, MBP/MBA, etc... for pre-orders from China.
FED-EX is used for domestic shipments from a local Apple Warehouse when the item is instock & in country for delivery the next day.
I have had Fed-Ex deliver on launch days -
iPhone 14 (ordered thru carrier direct) was shipped from a local Apple warehouse and arrived the day of launch.
iMac 24" also locally delivered on launch day.
