My base model's delivery date is now showing Feb 6 as of this morning, previously was a Feb 2 delivery.
My separate Travel Case order says “Express Delivery” versus the AVP order which says “Standard Delivery”. But both deliver on Feb 2.
So far I have only been charged for the AVP.
Out of curiosity, checked inventory by placing a mock order this afternoon. 512GB and 1T models are still available for launch weekend at most Apple Stores for in-store pick up. I suspect a LOT of returns from those individuals who have placed their items on eBay.
I hope you are wrong as I have an 8:00AM pick up time. It’ll really suck if dozens of people just show up in front of me, I’m supposed to be 1st 😉.

Also I imagine the travel case is gonna be a separate package (maybe even different tracking number?)

Sorta. Bunch of people who preordered and listed it for sale. So they’ll ship it to you once they get it.
There were a ton of listings in the days before preorders opened. Of course they’re all overpriced.
Cancelled my order in the end.. bank knocked back the order due to it being an international charge, and couldn't find an obvious way to get Apple to retry.
But made me reflect it's probably best to wait for release in my country, as any issues and I'd be stuck without warranty / support / apple care etc.
Plus I probably need a prescription hah, but also cant order those as don't have a US prescription.

My tracking shows one of my VP 512 headsets just left Changhai China via UPS Worldwide Express Saver - this morning at 10:15am arriving 2/2 and is 4.70 Kgs
I have one of the headsets (my wife’s 256G) coming on the 6th, but her Zeiss perscription arrives Feb 2nd along with battery and clip. My VP 512Gb arrives Feb 2nd as well. It shipped out of China this morning 10am via Worldwide Express Saver 4.7Kg.
I order on January 19 why went into prepared for shipment today around 4:30 PM .. I got the 256GB Version
I think there is an active market for new electronics goods on eBay due to secondary gift card market. Part of this is fueled by fraud where scammers use gift cards to receive or launder electronic funds.
Those folks then can keep the items or resell them locally to get cash. Even at a discount to the auction prices if the cards were “~free” it doesn’t matter.
So the Vision Pros may only be overpriced if you look at it through the lens of someone who has normal means and method to pay for the product.

Anywho, back to VP shipping discussion.
Same 2/2 delivery expectation for delivery to my home.
Order is still at "Preparing to Ship" status - no UPS tracking info - no updates from Apple since pre-order morning.
Got charged immediately on my Apple Card.
Still have 8 more days until it starts moving.....
At this point, you can only see tracking info from a UPS account, which simply tracks any package being delivered to your address of record.
Anyone else take work off 2/2? No way I’d be able to focus and get anything done that day 😂
I have a UPS MyChoice account. The tracking number for an 02 Feb delivery showed up in my account. It just means UPS has the shipment or will get it. It has a seat on the plane. Everything AVP leaving China for an 02 Feb stateside delivery will move to a warehouse(s), clear PRC customs and eventually be loaded on an air freighter headed to Anchorage, maybe via Seoul. This shipment won’t really start moving our way until next week. Until then, I think those orders are being filled, prepared for shipment and queued for that plane ride. It always amazes me how quickly those shipments happen once it really starts with that cargo loading. PRC-Anchorage-UPS Worldport, Louisville, KY-to my city to the brown step van to my door. Now, I have to stop neurotically checking shipment progress until next Wednesday.

No work, but returning home from Chicago that day praying I beat the UPS guy! He normally comes late in the day, so the anxiety is high!
I keep flip flopping between 512GB and 1TB. On one hand, if I want to have all my photos stored locally (like my other devices) I have a lot more wiggle room with 1TB, but if I ”optimize photos“ I could get away with 512GB. I have an order in for the 512GB for delivery on 2/2 and an in-store pickup for the 1TB on 2/3. Help!! 😂
