So far, both UPS tracking and Apple.com are still showing 2/2 delivery.
If you have a UPS tracking number, you're almost certainly golden.

Those of us who have been charged but do not have a tracking number are particularly screwed. (No, nothing shows up in MyChoice.)

Thanks for that relief!

Yes have tracking # but still in China.

If for some reason it does not look like delivery on 2/2, I just placed a backup store pick up order for 2/3.

Hoping I can cancel the store pick up if the original order is on track for delivery on 2/2...

This thread is making me go bonkers ! o_O

If you're scheduled for delivery on the 2nd, you might not see any movement (use UPS, not Apple) until the 30th-31st (earlier, if you're lucky, or maybe even the 1st if you're very unlucky). Nerve-wracking, but that's been common with how deliveries are handled.

Canceling the pickup shouldn't be a problem, although I've heard conflicting stories about how payment is handled (sorry, I've never done a pick up order). Some say that you pay when you pickup (and can use a different credit card) and so there aren't any issues with refunds (as you've never paid if you cancel). Others say that you pay beforehand but are refunded if you never pickup the order (but, as you supposedly have a couple of days or so to pick up the order, the refund takes a few days to process).

The difference in pickup paying methodes is preorder or not.

If you pre-order pickup you pay when the item shippes to the store. Most of the time the day or 2 before pickup.

You can of course still cancel and get a refund but you have to pay upfront.

Anyone have any experience in being able to change their delivery order to in store pick up somehow? I'm not a day one delivery and in store pick up wasn't an option. I don't mind not having it on day one but I'd far rather pick this thing up in store than have it delivered to my house.

I wish there was an option to pick up in store on X day, even if X day is weeks later.

You would have to place a separate order and cancel your delivery.

Check your local Apple store availability.

I just placed a store order because I thought my delivery would be delayed.
Even after a week, I was able to secure a 2/3 store pickup if my 2/2 delivery order got delayed.

Whichever comes in first, I will cancel the other order.

You can check availability on a daily (hourly;)) basis as it can change. 5 days after pre-order my local store showed inventory for all 3 options for in store pick up on Feb 2nd. But I don't think you can change delivery method once order has been placed.

Reddit denizens are reporting weird status changes and, lo and behold, mine is also weird. My overall status now says, "available to ship null", and there is no longer an estimated delivery date in the order details.

Picking up on 2/2 in the early afternoon. I'm hoping that they'll let me verify the fit of the light seal in store and replace it if the fit is too far off.

The appointments are designed around this. I plan on asking to try 21W and 23W before I walk out with the 25W I was scanned in as. My theory is for the average face shape (like, people not getting 33W) the lower the number = the closer your eye is to the lens = the higher the FOV. My scans were coming in 21-25 so just want to be able to fine tune the comfort and FOV to a point that I'm happy with.

Yep. Got my email a couple hours ago saying that the updated ship date was incorrect.

I was willing to wait but this is welcome update.

I’m sorry! Apple’s estimated delivery dates are usually later than actual delivery. Have you checked any local stores for a pickup?
I’m in Hungary lol. Not gonna happen. I wasn’t gonna have the headset brought to me until March anyway so I don’t care about the delay.
