That's good then. My biggest worry was what would happen if 3 months in the glass broke or something stopped working, trying to get that sent back to the Apple Store, diagnosed, fixed, then sent back etc seemed like a massive headache. But if you can just claim it on their insurance and send it back then that solves a lot of issues.
My guy good luck with that. I wouldn’t doubt if Apple would require you to bring the device in store to be inspected first for warranty claims or a different location from where it was originally shipped.

Mine is still stuck on "Preparing to Ship", but I'm not nervous about it. What I am getting a little nervous about is reports of how heavy this thing is. I hope I work up to using it for longer and longer stints.

I had the same issue with PSVR though--eventually my muscles got used to the extra weight.

I don’t get why Apple does this. Mine is still in China but 2/2 delivery and tracking incoming ups app. Obviously shipped but likely won’t reflect that until some time between Wednesday and Friday next week that it shipped on Apple.

It's most likely still in China. They can get those devices to the US in a day or so.

I doubt the weight will be much of an issue. There will be an adjustment period and then you’ll be fine. Being more negative on the Vision Pro is the what drives engagement right now.

If it works the same way as the iPhone shipments, it travels as one unified pallet or series of pallets initially (when you start seeing it on My Choice) and Apple supplies the tracking and marks it "shipped" once the pallet itself clears customs and is broken up into individual packages.

I think the China side also has a customs export process that isn't as easy as just tossing it onto a UPS plane which is why it takes a little bit to leave.

Sign up for UPS MyChoice, check deliveries "To Me".

Or just go through this sequence in your head with randomly assigned dates and times, which is how these things have gone over the last few years for nearly every Apple item:

Someplace, China -> Arrived at Shanghai or something, China -> Customs clearance Anchorage -> Arrived at Incheon, Korea -> Customs clearance Anchorage -> Anchorage, AK -> Departure from Incheaon, Korea -> Customs document clearance, Anchorage -> Now really departed from Incheon, Korea -> Sill more customs clearance in Anchorage, AK-> Actually arrived in Anchorage, AK -> Louisville, Kentucky -> Inexplicably even more customs clearance, but whatever -> Arrival at Yourhometown sorting facility -> Out for delivery -> Delivered.

Near the end where things actually move, Apple allows tracking on their site also.

You must be in the traditional Apple ecosystem of pre-orders showing up a week later ?

Vision Pro is 2 weeks from pre-order which makes the wait longer....

The launch date is 2/2. How are you receiving it today?

See Picture attached, reading from others it should be here next week now but nothing has updated yet

We should start seeing movement soon from China right?
In my experience, tracking movement either starts early, then starts to languish at an airport or at customs clearance (either export or import) or nothing seems to happen for forever, then things start to happen very quickly.

In either case, the package has always shown up when Apple said it would.

I think that's because the locations are given in local time, and sorting those results in out-of-order tracking.

Not sure how true, but I’ve seen an anonymous post saying Vision Pro inventory has started to arrive at Apple Stores and that the box is huge.

Makes sense, Apple stores and warehouses in country will be getting their first pallets ahead of customer deliveries.

So once they pallets are distributed, store delivery customers will get notification of their VP ready for pickup at the Apple Store.

Can't wait to see the embargo lifted so that we can see the influencers talk about them....
