Pick up in store here. Still waiting for the CC to be charged. Guessing Monday or Tuesday, would prefer it to be sooner rather than later!

It was in my heart to get the 512, but alas, I went with the 256 just to keep costs down. Maybe for the model that looks like regular glasses in a few years, I'll bump up the storage. ;)
256gb will be fine. I panic bought the 512gb because of the possibility for increased storage speeds. I took less than a minute to order, so I had no time to think during 😂

You will be just fine with 256gb. I think we are all a bit too optimistic about how many productive and useful apps there will be in the near future. iCloud is our friend.

That's what I figured too.

All my other Apple devices have the base or minimum storage and I haven't even come close to filling any of them.

Plus I have unlimited Google cloud storage so I really should not worry.

While 256GB is probably enough for most, that might be tight for those who want to download 3D movies for watching on an airplane, etc..

I'll want to use the AVP for work. Our company has a huge shared Dropbox file system. I'm even starting to manage storage on my 2 TB MBP. The 1 TB storage option for the AVP was a no brainer. I just hope DropBox will soon be supported on visionOS. Until then, I'll just have to use it in the browser.

I got a 512GB for in store pick up on 2/2 at 8:30am. I fly a lot and am thinking about asking to swap it for a 1TB in the store, if they have them. The size of 4K and 3D movies is larger that originally anticipated lol

I was literally just typing this same thing. If they are able to during the appointment I may just do it, but I'm betting not possible due to stock limitations.

My guess is they’ll have some for walk ins, maybe not a lot but at least a few, so I’m hoping that the 1TB aren’t quite as popular and I can snag one having an early appointment for pickup.

I also have heard that it’s worth doing the demo in store, as a way to make sure your light shield is comfortable, given that you’ll use it for about 25-30 minutes. Better that l than getting home and needing to run back to swap them.

Just from a value perspective the 512 Gb doesn't make sense to me - of course that's by design.

First storage upgrade is $200 for 256 Gb
Second storage upgrade is $400 for 768 Gb.

I know these are psychologically stacked to go for the highest one but what can I say - for me, it's working. :D

I got a 512GB AVP. I generally get iPads with the same amount of storage and have always been able to load a lot of media on them. I'm not concerned that I'm going to feel constrained with that amount of storage, at least for this purchase.

There's also the aspect that you get the increases fully, whereas it's up to anyone's guess how much of the initial 256 GB is going to be unused.

I could not get any card or Apple Pay payment to go through. It's just insane that neither Goldman nor another CC saw the request for authorization come through.

Through my convo with Apple on the phone, I did learn there is a limit of 2 on the Apple Vision Pro :p
Just following up to close the book on this one...

After 8 days, four calls into Apple, three BOSxxxxxx tickets, and one trip to my local Apple Store, I have finally placed an order.

I would appear that pre-orders do not play nice with Apple Store gift cards. Even if you redeem them to your Apple ID balance! The ultimate fix was for Apple to 'refund' my Apple Store gift card amount to Apple Card (Goldman), then I could place the order with my Apple Card.
