I'm seriously jealous of those of you that bought the official case. I'm sure I'm going to end up owning one eventually.
Normally I buy cheaper cases but because this is Apple's next big thing I wanted to have their case to go along with it. Plus it looks like a NASA space bag and I'm digging that vibe. You should totally get one!

Also just got tracking for my travel case! :D

I finally pulled the trigger on a 512GB unit that I can pick up on Saturday. The product interests me a ton, but that price made me pause more than once. The Apple Card Payments make it less of a sting, but I do wish it was about $1000 cheaper. Maybe the next model will have some omissions and we'll get there.

same, I love the look of it, and nobody is better prepared for a release-day case than apple. I plan on traveling with my VP a lot so the case was a must-have, but the price on preorder day blew my mind. Plus AppleCare which I usually don't buy, my total was higher than planned.

I’ve been digging around Apple’s website for Vision Pro tidbits because I’ve gone nutty. I noticed on an Apple Card page (https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT211204) they list the Vision Pro Cover as a purchasable accessory. Soon we will be able to replace the included brassière!

Is the cover for Apple's Vision Pro case removable (and hopefully washable)? Not being able to clean/wash it is really the only thing holding me back. You know that white cover is going to get dirty instantaneously.

Edit: oh, wait -- that cover is for the main unit cover. It's not for the case. 😞

My AVP has been hanging out in Louisville since yesterday morning. I assume since it is my APV it is hitting the Derby City Casino before it gets on the next flight.

They do this so people don’t accidentally get them early. They’ll leave Louisville for your nearest major airport today.

While it's fun to track orders over UPS, I opted for in store pickup this time. The thing is that I live near a university. This university doesn't seem to have a central shipping and receiving office and 90% of the time, the UPS driver spends hours driving around campus making deliveries before making it to me.

It's not unusual for my package to be at "Almost there" for 4-6 hours before the delivery gets made.

My pickup is less than 24 hours away and I'll probably have mine in hand hours before I would have if I'd opted for home delivery.

Of course UPS just made a delivery uncharacteristically early, so 🤷‍♂️

I'm picking it up in the store. I'm also picking up the case and the battery clip. My worry is lugging this stuff to the car. It's hard to get a parking spot at Millenia mall near the main entrance. Not impossible, but hard. I'll probably use the valet parking for the first time. It'll help with carrying it out, as the valet stand is just outside the main exit. The excitement is mounting!
