It was pretty painless. Store opened at the said time, scheduled a pickup on the 3rd (busy on the 2nd).

Smoothest pre-order experience ever, except I couldn’t change the pickup store to one near me (it was on a store on the West Coast that I last ordered from during a trip). I’m getting it delivered on 2/2. Let’s see how long it takes Zeiss to ship my inserts. I just uploaded my prescription. The whole experience took about 6 minutes. Amazingly, the store came up right at 5:00am PST (7:00am for me). I got the 512GB model.

WoooHoooo!!!! Ordered successfully and it was extremely easy!! I did order 1TB because I will be using it a lot and the resale value will be great if I upgrade in the future. So excited to be a part of this!!! Delivers to my home on 2.2.24 😁

Apple Pay "Payment not completed" with Applecard. Innumerable times now. On hold with Apple Store support. Now "Please hold for the next Apple Specialist". Rep put me on hold as they worked on it. Instead put back into the que with a post sales person so was in wrong department. They told me to call Goldman Sachs. Have enough credit.

Now talking with Goldman Sachs. Had me run Analytics data. Got disconnected. So after 1 hour with no resolution calling Apple again to try to have them place the order.

Apple sales said they were working on it, but suddenly I was transferred to Goldman Sachs. They told me that there were no declines and transferred me back to apple. Apple person was wrong department. Transferred again to Sales.

Order finally placed 2 hours later by Apple Sales. Sent me an email which re-prompted the face scan. Key thing seems to be removing Apple Care from the order. Now on hold to Apple Care to get it ordered.

So if you are having ordering problems remove AppleCare from your order.

For those worried about whether you'll be able to use a foreign card via ApplePay to get one, let me put your minds at ease... :D

Same here - very smooth pre-order - smoother than iPhone pre-order n the past.

Delivery chose an Apple store in a different county further away from where I normally pickup. Because its a traffic laden mall, I opted for delivery.

Now the wait begins.

Kept failing for me because the pickup times kept closing up. Finally got it to work for pickup on Saturday February 3rd at 3pm at the Penn Square store in Oklahoma City.

Well $5042 buckaroonies

that's with the 1tb $3899 plus AppleCare $499 and an extra battery $199 and prescription lenses $149 including tax, they recommended store pickup for fit, I'm having it sent to my house. that's inclusive of tax.

passed on the $199 travel case a third party will put out cheaper

probably most ive dropped on a tech item, but I'm an old man (62) who knows if ill be around for the revision, gotta enjoy things now.

Ordering was really painless including uploading my scan of my paper prescription.

now the wait ! Feb 28th is my bday so its a resent to me

Ordered! Choose to pick it up in store that evening. The appointment times filled up very quickly. I could have also chosen to get it delivered, but usually deliveries don't get to me until the evening anyways so I figured I might as well have them show me how to use it by picking it up.

Just went back to Store and added travel case and extra battery. Same store appointment window was available so that worked out nice!

All set -- ordered both 512GB and 1TB models for launch-day pickup. I will cancel one, but I got worried at the last second that 3D movies and apps will be insanely large and that I'll run out of storage. Ordered a Travel Case separately once I saw that was available.

Can't wait!!!
