glad yours all went smooth... mine did not.

It kept giving me errors due to the pickup times being taken, even though I checked out as fast as I could. Then eventually the app just gave an error in general so I could no longer check out at all, so I switched to Mac. Pickup times again got taken before I could checkout. Finally after refreshing all the pickup times were suddenly gone all at once, and I had to settle on Feb 13-16 delivery.

......
probably most ive dropped on a tech item, but I'm an old man (62) who knows if ill be around for the revision, gotta enjoy things now.

Ordering was really painless including uploading my scan of my paper prescription.

now the wait ! Feb 28th is my bday so its a resent to me
You and I are very similar - hitting that magic age of 60 this year and retiring in 2 years so why not!

My recent tech purchase was an EV so this is my second expensive recent purchase.

BTW I had to forgo the prescription lens upload as my eyes haven't been checked in awhile as it hasn't changed much.

Hoping it will work without the lens inserts as I have a very light correction....

All set -- ordered both 512GB and 1TB models for launch-day pickup. I will cancel one, but I got worried at the last second that 3D movies and apps will be insanely large and that I'll run out of storage. Ordered a Travel Case separately once I saw that was available.

Can't wait!!!
sure most will stream vs download but if you travel a lot it would be nice to have the space to download and 3d doesn't add to much to the size of the movies how big are iTunes 4k movies now ? that's the big thing up to now 3d movies were 1080p only

Ran into a bit of trouble as my order was being errored out due to the time slot no longer being available. Managed to get one for pick up on Feb 3 in grand central though. Think Saturday would be better anyway :)

Anyone surprised by their band size? It selected medium for me. I thought I had a bigger head 😂.
Right ?

I wear XL 7-3/4 western hat and Apple says MEDIUM for both knit and loop bands.

I'm genuinely really sorry to hear this, I know how frustrating that is. Hopefully with enough cancellations or second-thoughters your delivery date will get moved up sooner. I would also recommend checking your local store's pickup times when you can as we get closer -- sometimes more spots will open up (might not be on Launch Day, but a few days after when they get their next shipment).

noticing a theme here. I may be retiring in a few months too. Except mine is semi-involuntary. My company is getting bought out and I’m unlikely to survive the cuts due to my level 😥. I bought this to “escape” my wife 😂 (I’m joking).

Ah that's a real bummer man, I know I'd be furious at Apple, the universe, higher powers, etc. if that happened to me. Sending my sympathies! Hope time passes quickly for you between now and the 13th-16th.

I'm guessing I had less luck because I'm in the Austin area where a lot of Apple/tech employees work, though it was weird that all the pickup times across Texas suddenly disappeared at the same time—even in SA/Houston.
