I saw some footage over the weekend of Kimi Raikkonen’s son competing in karts. It’s mad to think in 10 years time this kid could well be on the F1 grid competing against Fernando Alonso.

It will be a mixed series including non-binary by then 🤣 And Penelope will also be racing Alonso 🤣Robin is on it as well. He will be racing Alonso in 2035.
We know Max asked for 20 seconds 🤣
He was lucky Mosley was not still running the FIA, otherwise he would have happily obliged.

Hey, I've got a positive outlook. 🤣 If MBS gets ousted, they may be able to join in 2026 🥰So you're saying 10 years is enough time for F1 to allow a woman on the track? I'm not so sure.

Sainz getting plenty out of that Williams. Trouble with testing is you don’t know all the variables. Tyres, fuel etc.Abu Dhabi Test Timesheet

Do these times really mean anything? The LeClerc brothers for the first time testing for the same team too, very cool.
I've always found Sainz rather good. He should have had Checo's seat.Do these times really mean anything?
It's nice to see Sainz so far up the list but surely it implies Albon, Colopinata - no idea how to spell his name -, and Sargent are just God awful... right?
I saw rumours Toto has been trying to discuss a driver swap with Antonelli to Williams on a similar agreement to George Russell. Could it be we see Sainz at Mercedes? I think Mercedes are realising George isn’t yet strong or consistent enough to be driving that team forward and Sainz would be a great addition for now. He certainly deserves more than Williams, that’s for sure.Do these times really mean anything?

Anybody in Formula One is immune from irony as we all know. I think Sainz would take the drive though if offered as it at least keeps his profile alive as a race winner. Fighting to get into the top 10 as a best possible result after years in better teams is a hell of a fall back at this point. This might all be complete tripe though and he’s fully committed to Williams. That would be ironic after Toto ignored Sainz to pursue Max. So now that Max is "Red Bull or die", he wants Sainz?
Seriously, if true this sounds like Toto just wants Sainz for a couple of years to mentor George and then send him off and bring back Kimi. So don't see how that benefits Sainz at all.
It's all business after all. Holding grudges won't lead anywhere.Anybody in Formula One is immune from irony as we all know. Absolutely. Carlos is obviously being positive and claiming to be relishing the challenge but he must feel rather down at the prospect of fighting for wins one season to hoping to get into the point the next. If Mercedes were to do a deal swapping Kimi Antonelli, I think it would be best for all parties and they need the consistency now they have a car that is in the top 3.It's all business after all. Holding grudges won't lead anywhere.
I hold Sainz in high regard, so it's tough seeing him go to what is the statistically worst performing team of his career on the back of one his best years. It kind of reminds me of when Damon Hill ended up at Arrows in 1997 after winning the championship in 1996 (the reasons are obviously different though). The crazy thing about Hill was that he only finished in the points twice in 97, but somehow managed to score a second place in Hungary, nearly winning after a hydraulic failure with three laps remaining. I hope Sainz and Williams have at least a few chances to shine in 2025.
Andrea Kimi Antonelli, often just Kimi Antonelli, is Mercedes' replacement for Lewis.Kimi?

I love the fact Horner is being really diplomatic when asked about Perez in interviews when it’s totally against their culture of publicly trashing drivers who are not performing at Red Bull. It must be really tough and personally I hope Perez stays. Carlos Slim did promise to pay the money they’d make on the constructors championship if they didn’t win it, so there is a lot of money at stake getting rid of Perez. So sounds like Red Bull might be in a real pickle over replacing Sergio Perez.
Nico Rosberg speculated his contract buyout would be around 16 million Euro, but now some are claiming it could be closer to 75 million Euro. There is also the tens of millions of sponsorship money that Sergio brings each year.
Due to the numbers involved, Horner and Marko have placed the decision with Red Bull's largest shareholders.
Part of me hope they a) have to keep him, and b) he continues to suck so that Ferrari and McLaren have an easier time of it.
