Honestly, I am just happy the livery is not mostly blank carbon fiber. :p

Let’s hope it drives like (a Toro Rosso)!

The VCARB 01 uses pretty much everything it is allowed to from the RB20 and the two Red Bull teams are increasing collaboration as allowed under the rules, so I expect it to perform much better than the AlphaTauri AT04.

The Adirondacks.
More conservative than I was expecting. The VISA on the side pods is large but proportional. The Cash App logos are smaller than I was excepting.

RB20 in 6 days.

New chassis and new livery or just new livery... which I like...

I would not be surprised if they used the AMR23 as the base since that started out well and the mid-season updates they did sent them backwards (which is why they reverted them in the last quarter of the season).

That being said, I expect they adopted the front suspension geometry design and the sidepod design of the Red Bull since everyone else seems to have. :p

Hopefully every team has copied a lot off Red Bull this year, we need some chance of it not being another borefest. Newey thinks we’ll see a lot of obvious similarities and I hope he is right.

Indeed. If it’s all over by the Summer the second half of the season will be very long and boring.
Of course all the RB copies assume they haven’t got something even better.

The Race has just dropped a new video where they believe Alonso has a decent shot at AMG Mercedes to replace Lewis Hamilton in 2025 if he wants the seat (Alonso is under contract with Aston through the end of 2024). They imply AMG would be very interested to have him if Alonso feels the AMR24 proves to be relatively uncompetitive in the early F1 season.

The Race does believe that AMG would prefer to promote Kimi Antonelli if he does well in F2 this year as they feel that he is the next Verstappen and that AMG was only willing to give Lewis a two-year contract because they wanted to give Antonelli his seat after a planned two-year stint at Williams (as they want to keep George long-term to pair with Antonelli).

I think a younger pairing would be wiser for Mercedes at this point. Alonso, as much as he’s still got it, he’s got a couple more years left and can be very difficult to manage. He does get on very well away from F1 with George though, so perhaps George could learn off him somewhat? Let’s hope Mercedes actually has a seat worth having too, nothing is guaranteed in this sport. Fernando knows that better than anyone as he’ll be remembered as one of the best drivers ever in the sport, the most complete of his generation, but had a career of really poor choices and bad luck. Imagine being as good as him and not winning a world title for 18 years, and a race for 11 years. Wild.
