Interesting intakes. Same overbite as the MCL38. Abandoned the underbite. It does look like 300kph just sitting there….

Yeah Mercedes, McLaren and Aston Martin went for the split/raised nose this year like Red Bull had last season and now Red Bull look like they’ve copied the Mercedes nose and front wing from last season. I’m sure we’ll see the real specs come testing.

Looking forward to seeing the “Real Spec.” The more I look the more I’m seeing. Wasn’t expecting this, TBO.

I swear Newey and Kelly Johnson are/were the only people that can/could “See the Air.”

Or did they just show some fake design features to throw off the others?

Well, we will see what Sakhir has to show. The main focus on prohibiting photos was the front and rear. So one could deduce the side pods and floor will be different. How much is a guess. I think the most concealed part of the RB20 here was the floor. It will be interesting to watch. It's always nice to see someone push the envelope. I don't think anyone was expecting this.

Exactly!

I find it funny how some call it copying Mercedes. Well, perhaps they did and are going backwards, but somehow I doubt they copied them and instead just designed it the right way.

At the end of the day the gap was over 1.1 seconds.

Gap? I doubt they are recording qualifying times as testing never gives a true indication of pace. The teams are too busy testing different setups, fuel loads, long runs to see how tyres behave and tend to try not to give too much away.
Certainly. And today's best time was still over a second and a half off of the quali time from last year. I was just addressing the comment before mine.

So coming out of testing, looks like Ferrari will be the main threat to Red Bull, at least at the start of the season. McLaren looks to be suffering from highish tire degradation on long runs and while AMG looks better than 2023, they still look fairly behind Ferrari and McLaren at the moment.

I hope it’s a lot closer this year. But I highly doubt it will be.
Of the (assumed) top four, three of the teams have two drivers who will compete with each other for points.
Whereas only RB will have one driver picking up the wins. So I’m expecting it all to be over by the summer.
Hope I’m wrong. Suspect I’m not.
