i also just took advantage of this - got 2x2GB for $56 before the $13 rebate. Amazing...now I just have to call DMS to cancel my order from them tomorrow morning before they process it. To think I almost paid $104!!

Moral? Since when is having my fiance buy one immoral? I am not cheating the system. I bought two of them, I just had my fiance buy the other so I can get the two rebates.
I followed their rules. One per household. (Me and my fiance don't live together yet, so we have separate households.)

It will work, but best performance will come from putting an even amount of ram in both slots.
Doesn't matter. You can buy 100 of em on the same credit card, ship them to 100 different people at 100 different addresses and get 100 checks in the mail for $13. Trust me, I've done this before. I currently have 4 addresses I can ship to (my house, my dorm, my dad's work, and my mom's work) and four different names (me, brother, mom, dad), so guess how many I bought? I'm in for one....question from another mac newbie...Will just the single 2GB stick work fine with the other memory slot empty? And if so does it matter which slot I put it in? I have a macbook and an imac. LOL...made the full PC to MAC conversion all at once! the iMac has 2 1GB sticks in it, the macbook has 2 512MB sticks.

But you might as well leave one of the other sticks in too so you have more RAM.
They don't have to be, but supposedly you get better performance from having matching sticks. But leave the other stick in so that you will have more ram.

no way anyone can pass something like this up. I don't see why some one wouldn't even consider buying a couple extra sticks and reselling them later to unknowing friends im gonna purchase 2 sticks for myself for the time being though bringing my 2GB mac to 4GB sweet!!!

Install leopard first. If you install the RAM then Leopard, but a problem arises it could be the RAM or Leopard causing the problem. If you install Leopard first and run it for a few days it should be known good at that point.
So then you can install the RAM, if there are issues after installing you know what the problem is.
No, not good in Canada. Dell.com will not ship to Canada. The rebate coupon (on the link in the first post) states
"Rebates Valid while supplies last for purchases made in the United States."
Speaking of "while supplies last," the RAM is now out of stock. It's still an extremely good deal without the rebate, and I've ordered two, anyways.
