just out of stock right?

Dell site said there out of stock does that mean you cannot purchase them anymore or something about the deal doesn't work anymore?

You can't use the rebate anymore, but the coupons would still work, and they won't ship until the middle of February.

Ok, so I was able to purchase two sticks with the rebate. Thanks very kindly to this thread. Now I got an email about a shipping delay -- the end of this month. That'll put me outside the window for the rebate. Do I have any recourse, or do I just leave it and feel good about getting 4gb for about 50.00? I know these "complications" can be structurally built-in to deter the number of rebate claims, and perhaps I should call up Dell and work it out. Any suggestions?

I got the email about delaying shipment until 1/21 too...

Im sure the MIB will still apply, as you (presumably) ordered the product within the given time window. If not, Dell will be receiving a very angry call from me, as I ordered within the time window.

:p

Nope, read the MIR. You have to submit it 12 days from when it was *ordered*.

I dont even know where the MIR is - I figured they'd email it to me or ship it with the RAM, didnt even think to look on the site. Now, I can't find it.

Is it on the site somewhere?

This is what can be done if you don't get your product before 12 days--Send the Rebate form without the UPC with "proof of Mailing". Once the product is delivered and rebate is denied do a resubmission with the Original UPC.
Note: Rebate form is not yet available online at Dell.com. Other sites have the form link below
None of the 2008 rebates seems to be online yet at dell. Here is the form from another site http://slickdeals.net/?sduid=276694&t=709674&u2=http://www.zipzoomfly.com/rebate/OCZ03_01012008.pdf
This should be the link for the DELL rebate, but as stated above, its not working: http://slickdeals.net/?sduid=0&t=709674&u2=http://accessories.us.dell.com/sna/Rebates/A0921188_7.pdf

The link below has tons of info, ive been following it since i placed my order and it has been really helpful, i suggest if you ordered anything read this!

CRAP!

I just got an e-mail from Dell saying they were canceling my order "because a coupon used to place this order was apparently issued in error."

Anyone else get this email? Its subject is "Welcome kit coupon."

I bought two $25 off coupons from eBay and both purchases received this letter...

It happened with me too, in fact. It looks like, though, since I already had an order shipped and received that used one of those coupons, they couldn't do anything about it.

It seems like this deal is now over, unfortunately.

Seems like a scam,.. they are selling instructions on ebay. Buy.com is selling crucial 2gb sticks for 29.99 after a mail in rebate and signing up for google checkout.
