mine was slow, but then i deleted all my sms that I didnt need... must of had 25,000 messages in one conversation and it took about 10 minutes to back up on the first one. After that, its about the same if not a little faster than 3.0.1

Yeah, it happened to both me and my girlfriend. Fortunately it was only the first backup. Backups after the first one seem normal to me again.
I'm so over this iPhone. I can't wait to cancel my contract now.

I restarted my phone and the keyboard clicks seem to be a little bit louder, but nothing what they were on 3.0.1. It seems like volume doesn't even control them anymore now. its preset and only changes if you put the phone on silent or turn them off.. hmmm

I notice is that the high pinch sound in recorded video is gone, also keyboard clicks are softer.

Personally I'm not into the whole musical ringtone thing. I went with the Zen ringtones and love them. Simple and elegant, and fine in a business environment.

It seems to have jacked with my ability to charge with my Griffin Simplifi. It now says that charging is not supported with this accessory!!

I have also got issues with 3G, my phone is in the dock in the same position where it has always been and previously had an excellent 3G signal, now after the 3.1 update i have nothing and i have walked all around the house and even outside and still nothing

try doing a network reset.
settings > general > reset > network settings
did anyone's Google contacts syncing (through Exchange) as explained at http://www.google.com/support/mobile/bin/answer.py?answer=138740&topic=14252 stop working?
