Ok, so it's a 3G problem? 3G user. MobileMe too. We gotta get this sorted!!! Driving me mad! :mad:
 
Has anyone submitted a support ticket yet? No idea how to word it. I guess if enough people kick off Apple will investigate it.
 
I upgraded to 3.1 this AM and have been using the phone all day without any problems and I am NOT a MobileMe subscriber...

*sigh...why doesn't apple wait tell they KNOW there firmware works to release it. I was hoping this update would fix all the problems I have with 3.0 but it only seams like it got worse....
 
Wait wait wait. I have a 3G with no Mobile Me and it's happening to me.

Could it be just 3G users and not 3GS?

Could it be related to the "improved syncing" of exchange accounts? I've got an exchange account going. Perhaps it's those push related background processes?
 
I have a 3GS, use MobileMe and Exchange and so far all is well. Very snappy so far!
 
This is strange...

I'm a MobileMe user and have not had this issue. I have noticed a slow response sliding unlock on the phone, but it isn't a problem for me.

Of course, now that I have said I have no issue it is going to lock up on me. :)
 
Can anyone find out how to downgrade to 3.0? I don't mind trying it to see if it fixes the problem
 
This is terrible, I try to restore my broken iPhone 3G and I just get a error so what do we do??!!!!

Well I have mobile me with no exchange support and only have push enabled for mobile me email. It's turned off for my other apps.

3GS...updated to 3.1 this pm (before reading this thread grrrrrrrrr)
fon got an code error message (1013) suggested to restore...it didnt work.
tried a couple of times....same error message pops up.

talked to tech support...tried to troubleshoot the upgrade and sync process....same outcome.

they're overnighting me a new fon. they said it will be here by 10 am tom.

fingers crossed.
 
I upgraded last night and noticed this morning that my slide to unlock was very unresponsive. I had to restart it about 3 times today because either it just wouldn't respond or I couldn't get the slide to unlock screen to unlock. I've got a 3gs without MobileMe
 
Same thing here I have reformatted it and reinstalled 3.1 and gotten the issue, as well as "deleting all content and settings" and resynced and installed 3.1 to get the issue again as well.

I have an appointment with the Genius Bar in a few hours. I will report what happened when I get back. Probably just do a swap HOPEFULLY the swap doesn't have the same issues. I just got my first iPhone (the 3g) last month and it was a brand new one when I got it.
