3G support group - surviving the extra 30 days

Im going to get two, 32 gig wifi and 64 gig 3G, told my wife the wifi one is for my son in college and im sticking to that story.
 
According to one of those beloved analysts, Apple may be looking at either May 28th or June 4th to release the 3G model due to an FCC delay.

I doubt it! But anything is possible. I think at the very latest were looking at the first week of May.

Yikes where did you see that?

That settles it for me -- Wifi 64 gig! I ain't waitin THAT long for the few times I HAVE to surf outside of WiFi areas -- I can use my iPhone for that!

So far I haven't seen it anywhere. So I'm beginning to believe last week of April, first week of May.
 
It'll be worth the wait - if you use a laptop on the go you can gauge how much the extra 3G will help.

Think of the 30 days as beta testing / time for the app store to populate

But I want to beta test it too, and I want to use the iPad already even though the App Store isn't "populated" enough.

So what then...a first gen iPhone? Except that the plastic wraps around onto the bezel? Haha yeah right. Also--who says that I have to get used to it? Maybe I won't buy it then? That's usually what I do with things I don't like.
 
Just thought I'd give this thread a bump as there are a lot of people out there who are suffering at the lack of International iPad or 3G iPad news. You are not alone. :) Please Apple, just a date, I wouldn't even really care if you moved it later on at this point!
 
Preordered the 64GB 3G, resolutely restraining myself from checking the order every day to see if Apple came up with a concrete shipping date!
 
I am waiting for two dates.

1. The date that we can reserve the 3G iPad for in-store pickup.

2. The date we can pick up our 3G iPads.

:)

I just want this thing already.
 
LOL! I didn't read the post because I didn't want to spoil the amazingness of the title hahahaha. :p

I'd love to beta test too :) But I admit that the delay will allow me more time to organize my computing-life before taking delivery. I'm using my iPad as my primary computer, so everything we learn about file sharing, etc. will be well understood by the time I need to make any hard decisions. At least that's how I'm spinning it to myself!
 
these people here need help and get a real life. you are so addictive and helpless. life is bigger than this.


having said that, I preorder the ipad and waiting is no big deal. after a few months, every new gadget is just like anything else.
 
I ordered the 3G and I'm not torn up about the wait. As I see it, when the WiFi comes out there will be a huge wail if the iPad is a real disappointment. I can take that time to read the comments and make a decision whether or not to cancel my order. If I choose not to cancel I'll still have two weeks to try it on my own and still be able to return it.
