4 iPads... Not one is decent....

1) Huge spec of dust under the screen
2) Horrid, horrid backlight bleeding
3) Yellow screen on bottom 1/2
4) Bad backlight bleeding and dead pixel

Should I just ****ing give up, or do "perfect" iPads actually exist? I'm sick of going back to the Apple store. They oftentimes give me a referb which obviously isn't going to be a good iPad...

Ive been meaning to make a follow up post on this issue. Some folks say we are obsessive and that we will find something wrong with any iPad, well that is not the case. On my third iPad, as I indicated I was going to have second one replaced and third one was the charm! It's perfect! No dead pixels no harsh backlight bleeding, just absolutely divine. So good ipads to exist and so do bad ones!

Glad you got a good one!

I didn't. Took it in last week, got a new one still backlight bleeding. Left side and some on the bottom this time. Apple genius said all the ones he has seen have backlight issues to a certain degree, and not to expect one without some backlight leakage.

This is the 5th one. Luckily I have been extremely busy this past week, so had no chance to watch any videos.

Post a picture of the screen. Someone here will find enough of an issue to create doubt...guaranteed. However, if you are smart, you won't do that.

I'm just going to try to not scrutinize my ipad too much. I don't expect a lot for $600 these days, anyway.

Can't you check it before leaving the store ? If you setup a genius bar appointment, you should be able to boot it up and make sure that it is good.
