can someone try the reminders app and see if you can add an actual due date (vs reminder time?)

Maybe. It'll probably error/bork your phone (temporarily!) though. If I were you, I'd wait until you can restore 5.1 through iTunes, put your iPhone into DFU mode, and do it like that. If putting your iPhone into DFU mode doesn't work or it doesn't show up, there's something else wrong with it, I think.

If my phone is in dfu mode I can recognize it thru windows, but then how will I restore it if I can only recognize it in dfu mode? Should I take my brothers phone and click restore to start the download, then swap phones out with my iPhone in dfu mode?

The iPhone software update server could not be contacted

This is what I am getting on my MBP. My 4S is jailbroken so I'm trying to restore before I update, but no matter if I select Restore or Check for Update, I am getting the error I posted above.

Anyone know why that is?

iPhone 4S now updated.

Loving the camera access directly from the first lock screen without having to double press!

I am having that issue with my MBP as well, I think that the servers are just overwhelmed and I contact the iTunes update server as well

iOS 5.1 Buildversion is 9B179. Also, none of the new wallpapers shown in the iOS 5.1 beta seem to be present.

There is a 3G on/off slider in the Network preference tab (Excuse me, it's in Dutch):

You can slide the new lockscreen to the top to open the camera app:

Installing the iOS 5.1 update now. Just made a huuuge TextEdit document of all my Cydia packages and repositories.
OTA Update Play-by-Play!
Update 1
Got error,
Code:
Title: SOFTWARE_UPDATE_DOWNLOAD_FAILURE_ALERT_TITLE
Body: SOFTWARE_UPDATE_DOWNLOAD_FAILURE_ALERT_BODY_GENERIC
Option 1: SOFTWA...CANCEL
Option 2, highlighted: SOFTWA...CTION
Too late.
Update 2
Seems to be downloading fine and at a fine rate.
Update 3

Update 4
Same error as Update 1. Nevermind OTA, connected version works now, hopefully.
