I've been quietly creeping around this thread for weeks. When I saw the cards came back in stock I snagged one. Arrived today installed tonight, up and running no problems. Awesome work, thanks so much for putting these together. :D

Awesome! Are you a 13" MBP owner? :)

Speeds good and worth the upgrade?
Averaging about 1050Mbps in the office, Still limited to 450Mbps at home, but now with this card I might have better reason to upgrade there as well, so those plans are evolving. Absolutely worth it. I'm determined to hang on to this MBP until it explodes. I few hundred dollars once a year or so when something awesome like this comes along is a no brainer. :D

That's pretty good; glad you're enjoying it so far! :)

Would this work on a mid 2010 15 inch? the mid 2010 15 inch only has 2 wifi antenna connectors, not 3.

Theoretically, yes. You could even use the BT antenna as the third WiFi antenna cable since the BT 'antenna' is integrated directly on the card.

As far as the software/macOS compatibility, I would ask @highvoltage12v to chime in.

$150 to upgrade 7-8 year old MacBooks to just slightly faster wifi and bluetooth? I can't see you selling many of these. I don't think I'd even spend $30 for it given the age of these machines.

My 2011 MBP 13" with an SSD is absolutely crawling on the latest software.

Why bother commenting with that kind of remark? It's more than a 'slight' upgrade. We've sold plenty to make it worthwhile and people love the upgrade so you are wrong :)

I'll bite. I spent the coin. I have an i7 2011 17 that's loaded and flies on high Sierra.

The one thing other than the video card that I wanted to update was the wireless.

Troop came thru with an American designed and assembled card that isn't vaporware like the firm that won't be mentioned who can't deliver a card but advertises it.

Now I get top speed 802.11AC instead of the stock 450. Saves me a ton of time at home with file transfers.

It's not "slightly" faster. For me it's almost 3x the speed.

I bought the upgrade. While the WiFi speeds are noticeable, I am seeing a problem with the Bluetooth. The card apparently has a limited range of about 10 feet for me with my 1st generation AirPods. The unlock via Watch stopped worked also. Does anyone have ideas about options?

That is completely normal as the BT 'antenna' is integrated into the card directly. As far as the unlock ability, it sounds like you need to run Dosdude's tool?

@highvoltage12v should be able to help.

The most concrete method to enable handoff for me was to get the board-ID of the mac using command
Code:
ioreg -l | grep -i board-id
then taking the result from terminal and pasting it where "Mac-yourboard-id" sits in the command below.

Code:
sudo -E perl -pi -e "s/\Mac-00BE6ED71E35EB86/\Mac-yourboard-id/" /System/Library/Extensions/IO80211Family.kext/Contents/PlugIns/AirPortBrcm4360.kext/Contents/MacOS/AirPortBrcm4360

Also for a sanity check, you can check the "general" section of System Preferences and look for "Allow Handoff between this mac and your iCloud devices"

Replacing CAX upgrade from several years ago.
Continuity working prior to upgrade

Got my card today! Took about 15min to remove the old CAX and install the new card. (I took my time taping the new card to my optical drive and tucking away the bluetooth antenna.)

All is working great, and I DID NOT have to re-do Continuity (board-ID, etc). That was a pleasant surprise, as I was prepared to have to grep and change/edit the necessary files for Continuity. Connected right now at 1053Mbps, MCS Index 8 to my Broadcom 802.11ac Wave 1 3x3 Access Point. DSL reports are at least 2x the speeds on my old CAX card. I will try to run some iPerf tests on my LAN when I get time. In the meantime I'll do some file copy/transfers to see how that feels.

Anyway, I'm a happy camper, and a big THANK YOU to troop231 for making this available! Happy customer!

Just picked up your card and everything was great! Installation was a breeze on my 2012 15" MBP. Just wondering if anyone else is running Watch OS 6 beta and having trouble getting 'Unlock with Apple Watch" to turn on? I get an error saying my watch is not unlocked, or on or in range (when it is) and it won't enable it. I know the feature works though because I can turn it on successfully with my Series 0 original watch.

I am having a sporadic problem where when I first wake the MBP up from overnight sleep, the "unlock with watch" does not work. However, if I do NOT enter my password on the keyboard, and just let the screen go back to sleep in a matter of seconds, when I touch the keypad and hold my watch close it does work.

Just thought I'd update that the latest WatchOS6 beta fixed it! Works like a charm now.

I have received my and just installed today. Both wifi ac and bluetooth works and I'm already happy. I'm just wondering if I might have messed something with the cables because I get max: Tx 780 Mbps, sometimes lower 527 Mbps. RSSI (-32 dBM) and Noise (-92 dBm) looks fine and I'm basically 2 feets away from router (D-Link 825) - connected to channel 36 (5 GHz, 80Mhz). connected first 3 shortest cables to new board and the longest cable (bluetooth?) just left unattached. Any ideas what other think should I check? Didn't install any drivers - everything worked with just swapped board.
