Your assumption is correct, you have to create the recovery partition by yourself after you setup the fusion drive. A simple way to fix it is by using CCC, it can create the recovery partition for you.

CCC? Isn't that a clone program? How does that make a recovery partition?
Anyway, I just ran CCC and this is the message I get. Tells me that I already have recovery partition. Why can't I access it?

So, if you hold "option" during start. Is the recovery partition there for you to choose?
So I installed the Broadcom card a long time ago but never bothered to get it working in Windows because I didn't need it there. Now I do, and I'm having a heck of a time finding drivers for it. I'm looking for Windows 10 64-bit drivers. After 40 minutes of Googling and many red herrings I have to admit defeat in finding an actual working driver. Does anyone know where these are?

That is the weird part, I do not see recovery partition when i press option on boot.
I am planning to clean install Sierra but my question is: I have time machine backed up, if so, can Time Machine restore everything back including apps after clean install?
In this case, obviously the recovery partition is not working.
I never use fusion drive, so not sure what the limitation is. Anyway, you may study this webpage. It may give you some hints.

My Google-fu seems to be really bad. I've spent a very long time trying to find Windows 10 boot camp driver downloads and cannot find them.
Apple used to have a page with a table that guided you to the right place. Now all I can find are instructions for downloading "Windows Support Software" while in OSX, but since I have a Mac Pro, I don't see how I'm going to get the iMac drivers.
I feel that Apple has taken down their direct download pages. All I can find are Windows 7 and 8 boot camp drivers.
I use the windows 7-8 drivers they work just fine in Windows 10

I had already tried the earlier drivers but couldn't get them to work (BroadcomWirelessWin8x64).
What I didn't know is that there are two drivers that need to be installed together, that previous one and a Broadcom BT Control Panel driver (AppleBluetoothBroadcom64). With both installed, it is now working. Thanks!
Just curious do you get the Wi-Fi working straight away after the driver installation, or you have to manually select the correct driver in device manager?
Also, you eventually using the Mac Pro Windows 8 bootcamp driver to make it work?
It was the Windows 8 driver that worked. But it didn't work installed by itself. The other item I named had to be installed too.
I don't know if Wi-Fi is working because I don't use it. I could check when I get home tonight.
Can I have confirmation on Handoff / Continuity working on Sierra on MacPro 5,1 with 94360CD card? I am about to re install Sierra as I suspect there is something screwed up in my system.

My primary goals were:

So in total I spent 49.34$ for full 802.11ac and Bluetooth 4.2 in my cMP 4,1.
I'd like to encourage you you do this upgrade in the same manner. The only thing that didn't go well in the first place was the wrong DF13 connector, the rest is pretty straight forward.
I hope this summary helps some of you.

My primary goals were:
- 802.11ac / Bluetooth 4.2 (or at least 4.0)
- no kext patching
- only use internal antennas
- use the internal Mini PCI Express (mPCIe) connector
- use parts that are commonly available / not overpriced
- no kit, since availability is limited / kits are overpriced in my opinion
- don't destroy stuff, aka. don't cut any cables
- the MacPro's internal mPCIe connector misses the USB data lanes (contrary to the standard)
- the three internal antennas are fine for 802.11ac, but a 4th antenna is needed for Bluetooth
- the stock bluetooth chip is connected via USB and uses another internal antenna
- there are about 20cm / 8 inch distance from the Bluetooth connector to the mPCIe socket
- install a Apple Wifi/Bluetooth Card using an mPCIe -> Apple proprietary adapter
- inject USB D+/D- lanes from the old Bluetooth connector to mPCIe adapter
- extend the Bluetooth antenna to reach the mPCIe socket
- the stock Bluetooth card uses a proprietary cable, which is not widely available. However the connector on the Logic board is 1.25mm hole-to-hole distance, and uses a Micro JST 1.25 4-Pin connector
- all antennas use U.FL (aka. IPEX, IPAX, IPX, AMC, MHF, UMCC) connectors
- macOS supports these broadcom chips:
- BCM4360
- BCM94360CD: iMac (Late 2012), MIMO 3x3, BT4.0
- BCM94360CS: MacPro Retina 15'' (Late 2015), MIMO 3x3, BT4.0 (shared antenna), MHF4 connectors

- at the time of buying I didn't know, that the MacPro uses a Micro JST connector, so I bought a wrong DF13 4-pin connector. As the pin distance is the same (1.25mm) I managed to cut some plastic from the connector to make it fit. Today I'd recommend these:

BCM94360CS has Bluetooth 4.0. It also uses MHF4 antenna connectors. Middle antenna is for Bluetooth.
Get one of these and you won't have to solder the D+ and D- headers:

Yes, it seems that BCM94360CS does support BT4.0. It seems that one antenna is shared by WiFi MIMO and Bluetooth, also you're right about the different connector, I'll update both.
I just clean installed Sierra and tried continuity hoping it would work, but nothing.
System profile shows handoff is yes but personal hotspot, continuity, handoff doesnt work. iPad and iphone works fine each other but macpro is left out of the loop. Very frustrating.
Maybe I will roll back to El Capitan.

UPDATE: After number of failed attempts to fix handoff/continuity not working since Sierra, I've decided to clean install Sierra just to see if it would do anything.
- I format and clean installed Sierra, logged in to iCloud, but still didn't work. (Handoff enabled in Mac and iOS)
- I downloaded CAT and enabled it but still didn't work
- I disabled SIP and tried again but still not working. (I was not able to disable SIP before because I had software error which prevented me to get into Recovery HD which is why I clean installed to get recovery HD)
- I restored OS using TimeMachine back up.
- Re entered iCloud but still handoff / continuity is not working
- Tried CAT to enable, reboot, still not working (I am about to give up and thinking going back to El Capitan)
- Somehow iPhone safari icon showed up on the left of the dock! But safari page is blank when clicked on MacOS.
- Ran CAT and select uninstall option using Recovery HD, Reboot
- Just when I am about to give up, I see Safari icon on the left on my iPhone. , slide up and I see the page that I was looking on MacOS. I now see icon on the left of the MacOS dock and now I am able to see the page. I try with other app like note and it works both ways.
- Universal Clipboard works
- Personal Hotspot works.
I just checked Wi-Fi in Windows, and yes it is there. Didn't have to do anything special. I'm using it right now to post this message. Unplugged the Ethernet just to make sure.

I get my BT working easily without any issue. But the Wi-Fi never work, I use cable anyway, so no big deal, but just wonder if it's actually supported by the Mac Pro bootcamp driver.
What is strange for me is that my old Wi-Fi card that came with the Mac Pro has only 2 antenna connectors, and there are only 2 wi-fi antennas in the case. So I have 3 total antennas if you include BT.
However, the instructions say remove 4 antennas, and people here show pictures with 4 antennas too, like the one just a few posts up.
Am I missing an antenna? I guess I will not complain because everything works fine.
If my memory is functioning correctly, the last antenna my be hidden away somewhere in the case. Apple used a little tube thingy to cover the U.FL connector. Try looking again in the case in all the little nooks.
Yes, my 4,1 come with no Wifi card, all 3 antennas were hidden under the processor cage. And all of their connector were covered by a small plastic tube.
The BT antenna is on the other side of the logic board. So, total 4 antennas.
